We wouldn’t recommend staying here due to host behaviour.
We arrived late at 10:30pm after our flight delayed. Confused and tired we tried to understand where things at the campground are located, while leaving our car on. It was raining and the grass was muddy. The host came out and said that we are making noise and we should move our car. Rather than ask politely, he called us disrespectful, said he don’t like our vibe and walked away.
At morning we asked about the hot shower , rather than a fresh start, he took the effort of telling me that he think I’m an asshole and said that the showers are “broken” today. Then he asked “if all Israeli are like that?”. After this racial comment we stopped interacting with him and just packed our staff and left while he stared at us. It was extremely uncomfortable and even somewhat violent.

Hot/cold shower was nice and the area was clean. Sunrise view is great.
Steve took very good care of all of the campers while I was here he let us use his man Cave. Set us up so we could BBQ…made sure we had plenty of ice….it was a great stay. The farm was conveniently located for all of our excursions.

Nice little place to stay with picnic benches and clean porta potties. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with a gate that you can let yourself in and out freely, so safety wasn’t a concern at all. Overall great little spot I would recommend to anyone passing through that needs a place to stay.

The views of the mountains are great, it was somewhat nice area. I understand his business is right next to the camping sites, and feels odd with cars parked everywhere, and i was the only one camping that night for one night. Felt nervous but, understood when i came back from getting food. The shower he could probably move, but understand the power and waterline is there. Maybe needs an update for the shower.
Peaceful, safe location. I stayed here for 5 nights. It's up in a quiet valley on the windward side of the island. I originally was going to stay in a tent, but saw a huge storm was coming while I was there. So I rented a van instead and I'm very glad I did! It's a very wet part of the island, and the camping field was saturated. But with good shelter, I was fine and slept well. Very quiet, peaceful and safe. I was traveling as a single woman and felt totally fine. I didn't interact with anyone while there; I got in late at night, so Steve told me how to open the gate, and I let myself in and out everyday. Sometimes in the pouring rain! But it's Hawaii and so warm, it's fine. My only complaint is that there are 3 bright lights on the outside of a large workshop building near the camping area. Those affected my sleep, and was a bummer to have light pollution like that while camping in Hawaii. But, I put fabric over my eyes and slept fine.
We read raving reviews about how welcoming the host was however we were disappointed with our experience. We messaged and texted upon our arrival, waiting for instruction and an overview of the amenities and ended up waiting in our vehicle for over 30 minutes before we got a response . When we finally did , there wasn’t even a welcoming greeting just vague directions and no information about where things are located . Seems Steve was too wrapped up in the Super Bowl party he was hosting (in fairness he did invite us to join the party.. ) that was loud and disruptive and didn’t leave us with a peaceful stay that we were imagining .

We stayed at Steve’s campground for whole our trip on Oahu and had a wonderful experience. The site was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. All the facilities were available and in great working condition — from clean restrooms and showers to water and electricity hookups. Steve was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort. We’d definitely come back and recommend it to others looking for a peaceful and well-equipped camping spot!

Overall, we had a good experience and the host was very welcoming and helpful. However, it gets very loud at night (not only are chickens making noise). Also, the ground is very muddy when it rains.
The views on the mountains from the locations are breathtaking and it is overall worth the money.

Flat location with lots of space and nicely manicured with multiple outdoor seating options! Hosts were accommodating and happy to lend a hand when we ran into vehicle issues the night before our flight. Would recommend 👍

Cute little spot nested in the mountains. Close to the ocean for surfing, hiking, sailing and diving. Great local restaurants and a grocery store near by. Steve was very responsive. Would recommend if you need a nice spot to crash after a day of adventures!

The actual site for camping (we tented) was nice and shady. Thats facilities were dirty, smelled bad (porto-potty), sinks were clogged. Host had a party one night till 2AM, less than desirable. The wasn't
a covered area to cook, which would've been nice (it rained in the evening into morning). Overall I wish I had stayed somewhere else, but it was a place to crash at night, But again a party disrupted that one night. I wouldnt recommend this site.
