It was absolutely breathtaking! Robert, the host, was absolutely over-the-top inviting and welcoming to me! So was his wife Tina! Shortly after arriving, they came by to check on me and make sure everything was ok. Shortly, after that, he brought me back plenty of firewood for the weekend! The view will absolutely take your breath away! There is a huge meadow/field in front of you and just beyond that, outstanding views of Lookout Mountain and Covenant College tower, at the very top. Right behind me, where I pitched my tent…there was a wandering creek, maybe 25 feet or so away. During the hottest part of the day, I literally took my camp chair and placed it in the middle of the creek because, the creek was covered with the canopy from the trees. I fell asleep, while reading a book, in my camp chair, in the middle of the creek! No need to worry, though the creek at its deepest point, was only a foot deep. Most of it was only about 3 to 4 inches deep. I also had the awesome experience of a firework show on July 4th and I didn’t even have to leave camp. There is a path that is cut by Robert, that runs from where you put your tent at near the four fire pits. It runs from the tent area across the field, to where the porta potty is. Well, halfway between the fire pit and the porta potty, there’s a huge opening and there was a firework show. I don’t know if it was in town somewhere or, was it a resident doing it, but it was ALL amazing! I saw numerous deer, hawks, and rabbits! GO !!
