The Andersonville RV Park stands out as a unique destination, nestled within the historic charm of Andersonville, a town dedicated to preserving its Civil War heritage. Established in 1973, the Andersonville Guild, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has worked tirelessly to restore the town to its former glory as a Civil War Village. This commitment includes relocating and restoring endangered structures, ensuring that the rich history of the area is not lost to time. Today, the Andersonville Guild plays a vital role in promoting economic development through tourism while also focusing on the preservation of historic buildings, including projects at the Drummer Boy Museum. The Guild raises funds for these initiatives through various means, including guided tours, building rentals, memberships, raffles, grants, and the popular Andersonville Historic Fair. The Andersonville RV Park features 23 sites, with 20 of them equipped with 30/50 amp electric service and water/sewer connections. Guests can enjoy the serene surroundings and engage in outdoor activities, while also having easy access to nearby attractions such as natural features, swimming holes, restaurants, and shops. This combination of history, community, and modern amenities makes the Andersonville RV Park a truly special place to visit.
