Come relax in our 3 acre spot in a forested neighborhood. The Firefly Trail (paved multi-use path) is right around the corner, and other nearby parks to check out include Trail Creek (mtn bike trails and great for kids), Sandy Creek (hiking around a lake with boat and fishing access), Lake Herrick on UGA campus (trails around a small lake), Shaking Rock Park (short trails and bouldering near a creek), and Broad River Outfitters (paddling run with kayak rentals on easy whitewater). Check out the Marigold farmers' market at Pittard Park or the Athens Farmers' Market at Bishop Park on Saturdays. UGA campus is <15 min. drive, and World of Wonder playground is a great place to hang out with kids.Enjoy a relaxing and peaceful stay in our little piece of the oak forest close to UGA campus and nearby parks. We have a 60' x 90' flat area for parking, accessible by a gravel driveway. Soak in a nice view of the stars and the ambience and warmth of a crackling campfire at our campfire circle, knowing you have ONLY MINUTES to drive to locations in Athens you wish to be near. The charming town of Winterville features a 2-mile section of the Firefly Trail that you can access directly via sidewalks from our neighborhood for a leisurely walk or your daily workout run/bike ride during your stay. Sanford Stadium at the heart of UGA's campus is only a 15 minute drive away, as well as the hip downtown Athens shops, which include plenty of delicious restaurants to try, though several of our favorites are even closer on the "East Side" of town. Planning on cooking while you're here? There are 4 different grocery stores within a 12 minute drive, with Kroger only 6 minutes away. Working on outfitting your college student's dorm? We can recommend a host of awesome thrift stores around town, and we are a 15-20 minute drive from just about any department store you could want to shop at for clothes, furniture, decor, etc. Want to see a movie? B&B Theaters is only 11 minutes away, and Beechwood Cinemas and University 16 Cinemas are a 21 minute drive away. Coming with children? The World of Wonder playground is awesome and only a 10 minute drive away, or you can just walk 15 minutes down the Firefly Trail and enjoy the swing set and jungle gym playground at Winterville's charming Pittard Park, which hosts the Marigold Market every Saturday from 10am-2pm. Enjoy live music? Our favorite free venue is the Athens Farmer's Market at Bishop Park from 8am-12pm every Saturday, and Athens is known for it's music scene if you want to buy tickets to a show or find a local restaurant with live music. We think this is an amazing place, and we'd love to share it with you!

Great spot right outside of Athens!

Cristina and Brian were extremely welcoming and helpful. It was a tight squeeze for our 28ft camper backing up the driveway but we made it with Brian’s help. The site was perfect with a cozy fire pit. There were two nearby trails to explore but unfortunately we ran out of time as we were heading to the GA game in Athens. They left us some waters and a sweet note before we checked out. Very gracious.
