We bought the property in 2001, partly because it was next to Devil's Den which we already had an interest in; was the right amount of acreage; and partly because it is the home of a beautiful Live Oak Tree that I fell in love with. This tree's presence spoke to me of longevity, stability, shelter, and endurance. Just what I was looking for in a new home. So, this wonderful old tree created a hammock and a couple hawks seemed to like it as much as we did and the name, 'Two Hawk Hammock', just sort of popped out of our mouths at the same time and we never questioned why. The tree has many far reaching limbs that welcome all sorts of interesting folks. I hope you will be one of them. Come visit the wood shop; take a hand crafted soap class; go for a carriage ride; or just sit and watch the emus and horses wander in the pasture.

    Two Hawk Hammock - 2cac
    Heidi and Ken were A - MAZING hosts. Heidi even took me around to the various activities all within walking distance on her golf cart. Their property is beautiful and filled with wonder! They have horses, goats, mini horses, cats, emus!!!! and more! Their Hammock Tree is such a wonderful and peaceful experience. I loved the opportunity to hang my hammock up but also let the kid inside of my out by climbing all over the low and uniquely shaped branches. Kids will love it. Adults will love it. This location is for everyone! Camping space is vast and covered. They have water / restrooms inside their craft house where Heidi manages soap making courses and her multiple businesses. You can catch her feeding in the morning and all the animals are so friendly! One kitty even wanted to hang out with me all night! Lastly, the activities surrounding this place are so cool! Devil's Den Spring is no joke a 30 second walk and they have connections for you their. A little further but delight walk to Cedar Woods and Lake is super close to the property too! You will feel like you're in Jurassic Park, I promise! There they have a beautiful nature walk, botanical gardens, amazing rare tortoises and other animals and much much more! You're only 40 minutes outside of downtown Gainesville but filled with the immersive Florida nature experience. A must stay and must explore vast.
