Welcome to Smokey Acres! This property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires out there. Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. This RV site includes electric, water, and sewage hookups and can accommodate vehicles up to 60 feet in length. You’re also welcome to pitch a tent here if you prefer. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees.  Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando.  A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Whether you'd like a leisurely day on the river or an adventure in the Gulf, there are plenty of boating options nearby. Be sure to make it back to the property in time to enjoy amazing sunsets that bring peace and tranquility to your experience.  Our neighbors, JG Ranch, offers U- Pick Fruit and Vegetables or a great selection of local harvest at their roadside stand.  This 10-acre property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires together out there.  I've recently moved back home with my own family and as much as we enjoy the land for ourselves we'd love to share it. Any profit from hosting campers will help us maintain our sustainable farm that we're hoping to expand onto Smokey Acres. About the listing This site accommodates RVs up to 60 feet and has plenty of room for extended stays, especially if you have family and friends in the area who want to join you for a weekend. Tent campers would be additional $20.  Electric and water hookups are all available.  During your stay, enjoy access to water, restrooms and hot showers as well as picnic tables and fire pits. We usually have firewood available for a small donation.  Charcoal grills are provided in the BBQ area. We love that you brought your pet but we also want to keep ours safe so please keep all pets on a leash or lead. While you will have privacy at your site, we do have a few different campsites on the property, so you may run into other campers in common areas or in passing during your stay. Tucked away on the nature trail only a short walk from parking you'll find your weekend retreat. A cozy cabin perfect for a romantic getaway or weekend trip with the family. This is a work in progress, hand built and currently a blank canvas. Current sleeping arrangements is for 3 but can accommodate more on site for an additional charge to put up a tent. Spacious wooded area with picnic table and fire pit, perfect place to unwind on the porch. Conveniently located to shopping, parks, and local attractions. Our cabin does not have a bathroom in it! " You belong among the wildflowers" this glamping tent is an ode to our Florida legend, Tom Petty. Tucked away off our Nature Trail this spacious site is just a short walk to relaxation. Comfy as you can be in a primitive site. Your tent and queen bed will be waiting. Two chairs create the perfect reading nook as well as turn into twin beds. Natural light fills the tent but there are also plenty of fairy lights to set the mood. Just outside you'll find the perfect spot to sit and enjoy your breakfast while admiring the "Real" Florida all around you. Enjoy your evenings around the fire pit! Great way to end your adventures staring at the stars as you swing in the hammock. A queen size bed is provided. you'll need to bring your own bedding, blankets and pillows. You also need to bring your own towels and linens.

Loved camping here! So happy I brought a wagon since you have to carry your stuff easier since it’s a little bit of a walk but nothing terrible! Bathrooms and shower were clean would 100% come back! Great communication as well.

Great spot! There’s firewood available for purchase, easily accessible bathroom, and a beautiful plot. Plenty to do around if you’re open to a short drive, but a nice spot to rest and relax if you’re staying in.

This is a beautiful spot under the trees, spacious. Other than sound of the road in the distance it’s perfectly quiet. Owners are hospitable and agreeable; don’t disturb your privacy. Firewood is gigantic!

This was a great place to camp! We stayed at camp site 5, which was tucked away in the woods along the trail. It felt remote and secluded, which made for a peaceful stay. There were three of us staying and we each had enough room with our own tents. We were able to purchase fire wood on site which was convenient. The spot is far enough away from people to feel like primitive camping but it’s also a close enough drive off the highway that we ran to Walmart for some extra supplies. Since it is near the highway I could hear some traffic at night but that is not a deal breaker for me, especially since everything else worked well for us. It was only about 15-20 minutes from Weeki Wachee Springs, which was a fun excursion. The site was clean, the addition of the shower and bathroom were pleasant, and the property was beautiful. I think all three of us are considering coming back in the future!

We love how secluded it is and how quiet it is, it's a perfect place for relaxation. For people with pets this is a perfect place, nice and quiet with nature and lots of room for your pets to run around. Our cats love the sights and sounds of pure nature, for they are used to the sites and sounds of the city.

My family had a great weekend here! Easy to find and the host send wonderful, detailed instructions on how/where to find everything. Such a gorgeous property. My kids loved the fishing pond and all the space to run and play. It was so helpful that they had firewood available. Great spot to feel like you’re tucked away in the wilderness with the convenience of still being ten minutes away from Walmart. My one slight complaint if you could call it that, is that there is only one toilet for the whole campground. Typically, I don’t think this would be an issue, however the weather was amazing the weekend my family was here, so it was a full house with just that one toilet which got tricky at times. I am no stranger to using the bathroom “primitively” however with the big open campsites that are wonderful, there are no private areas to do so, which leaves all the tent campers to the one toilet. Overall this was a wonderful place to camp and my family would definitely like to come back in the future!

So glad we found this gem of a campsite! Hilary was very communicative and gave clear directions on how to get to the property and our individual site. There are lots of trees and foliage and some vintage RVs covered in vines and plants, giving the land a fun and funky vibe. Our site (RV3) included electrical books ups, water and a garbage bin and was situated next to a pond along with a picnic table and firepit. We also had a huge grassy field that could accommodate large tents etc. You can buy firewood for $8 and even rent a fishing pole for $5. There is a bath area with a flush toilet and shower but we only used the toilet. We slept great. There were only two other RVs nearby who didn't make any noise and were far enough away that they didn't bother us. Our cat loved the space as well! Forget going to an RV park or state campsite and come here instead! Pricing very reasonable. Decided to book another night-Would absolutely return.

This place was so peaceful and just what I needed. I spent a few days recharging on this beautiful property and would stay here again if in the area. The only thing I would mention is that the road into the park has a lot of bumps and places washed out from the rain down here, just as a heads up for larger RVs because it was a bumpy ride in just my van. Everything was super well kept - clean trash cans for each spot, no trash anywhere on site, freshly mowed grass, and one well kept nature trail that I liked walking with my dog. Lots of wildlife and nature sounds; 10/10 for me!

Everything went well it was a very peaceful place. It was clean it was cute my only suggestion is is maybe bring something that pads the pull out bed they have in there but other than that everything else was perfect. Thank you so much for the space Star wars were fine bathroom was fine I had a couple of campfires it was just quiet and peaceful and I had massive alone time and I loved it. Mini fridge worked and AC probably worked but I never had to turn it on I just used the fan because it was cool evenings and it was a great base for me to stay in order to go fishing or out somewhere sleep late lay there or just listen to the sounds of the forest which I don't get to hear very often. Thank you thank you thank you so much. I'm probably going to stay again sometime.

Smokey Acres made for a perfect weekend getaway. Easy to find. Large, level mowed field with mature oaks for shade. Plenty of space between the camp sites. Nature trail was pleasant short hike. I would definitely stay here again.

It’s very quiet, only a few campsites. The driveway in was difficult to find, thankfully the camp host sent me directions, otherwise we would not have found it. The driveway was also in rough condition, very bumpy even with my full size pickup truck. If you want solitude, this is a great place, if you want services, stay elsewhere.

We had a wonderful time at RV 2! Love to have the whole field behind/ beside the camper! So nice to hang a hammock and sip some coffee. We enjoyed the nature trail and making fires both nights. Also, so close to Weki Wachee, plenty of hiking, and the cute town of Brooksville. I'm hoping to be back soon!

Clean campsites. Area is very private and set back from the road. The host I spoke with him, friendly and a good host. Definitely recommend staying there. Nice shade trees on site so you are not sitting in a middle of a field.

It was very peaceful and Quiet and I was able to fish at the little pond. We had a lot of rain which made areas of the road very muddy but certainly not impassible. It was near to all the areas we were visiting. I would recommend this if you are looking for a get away with minimal distractions. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
