It was a nice, clean, safe place to stay. Being off-leash friendly .... our dogs highly recommend it.

Relax among the trees and the water

Eric is the best! Very helpful and communicative host and went beyond anything we expected in assisting us with an RV tire issue. The property is well maintained and the adjacent waterway is very relaxing. Eric’s dog Tidy is very friendly and our Bichon found a new friend. We highly recommend Eric’s property and we will be back.

Variety of plants & trees and nice view of the water. Eric took time to show us around and my husband enjoyed talking to him about his landscaping. Private and quiet neighborhood .

Eric was very friendly and accommodating! His dog was very friendly as well and got along with our dog. It was nice to have a place that is pet friendly. The yard is very spacious. It is only about 30 minutes from Venice which very convenient. He was very responsive to messages.

Vanlife with a dog!

Eric was very friendly and accommodating. He checked in on us periodically, but not too often. His property on the canal is peaceful with views of the Osprey nest. It’s amazing how nearby Publix is if needed, but you’re not on a busy thoroughfare.

We spent one night here and Eric greeted us upon arrival. He has nice open sites and locating yourself in North Port gives easy access to beaches and/or city amenities. Price is great for such a quiet and beautiful spot on the waterway.

We enjoyed Eric’s hospitality

Eric has a lovely home with a large yard that he shares with other campers. It’s directly on a freshwater canal that flows to the Gulf of Mexico where, according to Eric several different species of fish can be caught. He graciously allows you to share his lures, too. He is pet friendly and his own dog, a beautiful Australian Shepard, is always happy to see you! Quiet neighborhood, convenient to the interstate. Hope to stop in again some day!

Great place to stay!!

Eric’s place is great he puts a lot of work in to make sure his guests are comfortable and have everything they need! Great location with many shopping and eating places close by! If you bring your dog they’ll love it as well getting to socialize with his dogs and play in the yard! 10/10 it’s a must book for campers and Rv travelers! I will definitely book again when I’m in the area!

Flora/Fauna Retreat

Eric has such a Great flora/fauna retreat, he’s worked hard on it and it shows. Very quiet as the 24 hour security guard- Eclipse the Alligator 🐊 is not very talkative. Great price and accommodating host. Great location about 30-40 minutes to Manasota beach for shark tooth hunting, and right off the highway. Any shopping needs are close by as well 15 minutes. Two Thumbs Up.

An excellent experience

Eric was a tremendous host… one of the best I have experienced in Hipcamp. He even offered to help me do some repairs on my travel trailer. The location was very quiet yet it was only a very short drive to all of the major shopping areas, including Walmart, Home Depot, restaurants etc. The price also was extremely reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.

Nature, sweet dogs, nice spot!

This is a great spot and I'm sure that I will be back! Eric is a kind and gracious host who is friendly but not intrusive. He responds to inquiries quickly and was amenable to my last-minute schedule changes. His dog is the sweetest girl. The property is of good size and the backyard is on a canal, so it's a very pleasant spot to rest and enjoy a little bit of nature. Easy hookups, close to hwy 75, felt like a safe neighborhood!

Pleasant site in urban area

There are few camping options in this fairly urban area. This particular location gets high marks for being quiet and having a stream (ditch really but an attractive one) and a nicely landscaped yard. The site itself is accurately described. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time, so I didn’t experience it much.

Quiet Suburban Stay with Water View

Eric’s place was great for us! We loved sitting on the bank of the canal watching the nesting Ospreys and enjoying the peaceful setting. The camping is in a suburban area that is quiet and safe. Eric is very knowledgeable about the area and was a lovely host. We enjoyed exploring the North Port community. We hope to return for another stay.

Clean Kitchenette, Toilet Campsite

Eric has a great spot. Even though it is entrenched in the “BURBS”, his large lot has a country feel to it. The canal behind the property provides a soothing dose of nature, along with the chance of viewing the local wildlife. Eric and his dog are quite friendly, and are great hosts. We would most def stay here again when in the area.
