We had a great time. The host was responsive if we had questions and even checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. I would recommend this campsite.

Great getaway! If you love nature and animal sounds and sightings this is the place for you. Host was excellent went above and beyond set up was spacious and private even though the camp was full, privacy still wasn’t a concern. Would highly recommend we will be back with our boat next time.

Very beautiful private spots. Shady with the gorgeous Spanish moss trees. We stayed for two nights and James was very helpful if we needed anything at all. Our kids who are 6 and 9 had a blast running around the property and checking out all the cool things there were. They got to hang out with Tom the turkey and had the best time! Would come and stay again!

This place is perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors. The camp sites were great for tent camping and hammock camping. Each one had a fire pit with picnic tables and an over the fire grill grate. I think one of the best things about this place was the hospitality. The host is amazing offering many great accommodation such as water, wood, farm fresh eggs from his own chickens, and much more. He also does a great job of letting you know the lay of the land and what else is available just outside the property such as hiking, fishing spots, boat ramps, grocery stores nearby, and even a cool hour long 120 acre wilderness drive. I would definitely recommend checking this place out and will also be returning myself.

I loved camping at the North Shore relic Ranch. Quite a number of well situated private campsites with fire pits and a few solar lights sprinkled amongst. The host was very gracious and it was nice and quiet and peaceful.

I had a great time overnighting here with my dog. The directions were clear and James met me at the entrance and guided me to the campsite. The site was quite roomy and was equipped with a fire pit, picnic table and a couple of low camp chairs. There was also a water jug provided for dousing the fire. The camp sites were well spaced. There was a little bit of vehicle noise from the adjacent road, but it was infrequent and not disturbing.
In the morning we went for a nice hike along the nearby 2.4mi trail. I'd like to come back some time and explore the property more fully; there were definately some quirky items scattered about.

My family and I had a great time tent camping at the Relic Ranch. The hosts were very nice and attentive to our needs. Our kids had a blast feeding the farm animals and there’s also a hiking trail near by walking distance from the camp site. We’ll definitely be back!

This place was so gorgeous and unique. Sites are hidden from each other mostly. It does have some oddities on property that are fun. We stayed 2 nights. On the first one. We had dueling music battles. One seeming to come from the owners home area. The 2nd an RV who proceeded to scream and yell and play music all night till about 3 AM. A-holes, not the owner fault. After telling him he said he got them squared away. He did. It was a wonderful quiet night until about 6AM when someone on the owners side or at least not someone in the campground. Started blasting classic rock! All for it but not at 6. So there we were waking up and packing at 6 cause why stay any longer? The owner was great, gave us a great alligator drive. The property is beautiful and I’d like to recommend it. Hope you have a nice group when you visit. It wasn’t a very considerate group around us. Not the owners fault so hard to recommend people not going..

We are glad we chose Relic Ranch for our first time camping. It really feels like you are in the forest. James communicated well and made the trip stress free. We will definitely return in the future.

We've been here a few times before and love that there is hiking, a bike trail and kayaking all within 1/4 mile. Also, Mt Dora is one of our favorite towns in Florida, especially near Christmas with the town decks out in lights galore!
This place is bare bones and not manicured so come prepared.

I loved the campsite, very secluded. Nicest portapottie I have been in. Lots of wildlife sounds but nothing of a nuisance! Even had a great sunset on the last night. Jim is very nice and showed us where to go when we got there. Would definitely stay again.

We had such a great time!! This camping spot is perfect! We were surrounded by beautiful scenery! The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful! The location is walking distance to a beautiful hiking path and fishing spot. We also did the free Nature drive, which is close by, and I highly recommend it! I would definitely book this spot again!!

We had a great stay at the Relic Ranch :-) Definitely a unique place with lots to explore. The campground area was perfect for us, very spacious and private with a good amount of distance between sites, plus the giant trees are absolutely gorgeous. The porta potties were probably the cleanest ones i've ever seen! If you venture towards the main property check out the goats, they are very friendly! Thanks again!

Highly recommend staying here. The site we stayed at was beautiful, the trees with the moss hanging from them and the vegatation around the site made it feel very woodsie, nice size site as well. Pretty neat stuff to gander at on the property. The host James is wonderful to communicate with! We have already booked another stay in January and we are very excited to go back!
There are trails for walking, biking and horseback riding right next door. A highly recommended drive through nature trail about 15 minutes from the sight.
Just remember, your in the woods, there ARE bugs and mosquitoes be prepared if you go during warmer nights

I love staying here. I feel like i am far away fro. Civilization in a jungle.James is awesome. The place is quiet and relaxing. This is my second time and we enjoyed it. We reserved for two nights and had to leave after one for personal reasons but will be back.

The campsite was beautiful and the motion sensor solar lights were an awesome help at night. The tree cover keeps the campsites cool and shady. They have lots of cool things to see. The kids loved seeing the animals and being able to explore the camground freely. I would also recommend visiting wakiva springs while youre in the area!

Wow…! My husband and I stayed here for 3 days over Thanksgiving and we absolutely loved it. Our campsite was secluded and beautiful, the portos were clean, and the owner is what makes this place a real gem. James is genuinely one of the most helpful and generous people I’ve met in Florida so far.
We ran into some technical issues with our power station, and James helped us in every possible way — from letting us use his solar panels and generator to even helping us charge it at his house. He was attentive, responsive, and provided firewood whenever we needed (for a fee). We’re so grateful for everything he did, and we will 100% be back in the future.
I highly recommend staying here. The only heads-up is that if you plan on using Starlink or similar setups, there isn’t the clearest sky view. We were able to get it working, and I was able to work, but there were some interruptions from tree cover — just something to be aware of.

Stopped in while passing through. I assured James I would be there before dark. Of course I lingered too long and got there tired and in the dark.
I missed the clearly obvious sign and wondered if my GPS had led me wrong. James came out to gather me in and show me to the perfect site for the night.
Private, peaceful, great for what I did passing through, although I did take time for the Lake Apopka North Shore Wildlife Drive - highly recommended as well.
Great place to stay.
