We've reached the stage in our life that we look for experiences beyond just a place to stay over night. What a wonderful place. So many horses to see and pet. Really enjoyed our stay, and hoped it help support their rescue efforts. Our site faced the corals. Early in the morning I was sitting have coffee outside and one of the horses made eye contact, then walked over to the fence to say good morning. Pretty cool.

Ms.Marcia, or Ms.sweetie as I like to call her was amazing! Sweetest woman ever. Her and her family were very accommodating. The work they are doing here is amazing and beautiful. The ranch was clean and very well taken care of. They were very knowledgeable about their horses. She gave us a tour when we arrived and learned about all the horses and their personalities. I would rate Crazy 8 ranch and 10 out of 10, will stay again. Thank you so much Ms. Sweetie, we look forward to working with you.

I loved my stay at Crazy 8 Ranch. Marcie met us on arrival. She is friendly and accommodating as are all the rest of the staff and volunteers. I loved interacting with the horses and the trail ride we took. Marcie was happy to answer all of our questions and let us help out with caring for the horses. I didn't want to leave!

We really enjoyed RV camping at Crazy 8. We stayed for a couple nights and took a horse ride through the gorgeous Talquin Park close by. It was a ton of fun!

Marcia met me right away when I came in. Took me for a tour around this wonderful animal Kingdom, better than Disney World, where I just came from. Three goats on the left my site, out front 3 Zebu’s, Angel, the donkey and blind horse, Charlie. To my right were many assorted rescued horses. I couldn’t have been happier.

Crazy 8 Ranch RV Camping
On the outskirts of Tallahassee near a protected forest you will find this jewel. We camped here for several days by the corrals. There are horses to feed and ride (for an additional fee). We took a leisurely morning ride through the forest one day. Kids got to feed the horses treats. Water and electric hookups. Portable dump station for use. It's quiet and peaceful at night. It's in a large subdivision with no close neighbors. The driveway and parking is tight but doable depending on the length of your rig.

Marcia was great to work with. She greeted us and gave us the tour earlier than her normal check in time, which really helped us out. The grounds are great with a lot of beautiful horses and friendly people.

Great place to bring your family and hang out! Everyone is so nice and welcoming. They allowed our girls to help out with the chores even though it probably slowed them down. They taught our girls all about horses and how to ride and how to care for them. We felt completely safe and at home on Marcia’s property. 10/10 recommend camping here and taking a trail ride! You won’t regret it

The host was nice and meet me upon arrival, showed me my spot, then left me to it.
The location was great but there were few level areas. It’s really open and is decently maintained. There is an outdoor bathroom that was nice to have (toilet and sink only). Beware of the road coming in! It’s pretty rough with a number of big holes. (If you’re set up is really low I’d be mindful.) The driveway is a one way so watch for anyone who may be already on the path.
This is not somewhere I would suggest looking if you’re long or inexperienced driving off road.
And if you’re going to be here during the summer know the bug noise is REAL!

My wife and I had a great experience at Crazy 8 Horse Ranch. Keep in mind, this is first and foremost a RANCH, not a resort. So, you need to have the mindset of being on a farm. That means you may not have access to all the amenities you would have in an RV Park. So make sure you prepare for a little more rugged experience you would expect at a ranch.
Marcia and her crew were fantastic - very hospitable and friendly. We felt like family from day one. Her horses are beautiful and well-kept. They are kid-friendly and ideal for first-time riders. I highly recommend taking one of the day rides.

We loved the country feel and host were awesome very friendly and accommodating. We had our dog and she enjoyed being able to get out without a leash. The site does not have a sewage hookup which was a negative, but beyond that we would highly recommend.

Wonderful place and Marcia was fantastic. I wish we could have stayed longer. Very peaceful and we loved watching the horses. The road to her driveway is pretty bad for about a mile but doable at slow speeds. We will go back if I'm the area for.

Loved this treasure. It’s a horse rescue farm. Very peaceful and the owner and staff are very friendly. I stayed here 3 nights boondocking in my Winnebago Revel. There are hookups in several convenient spots. Also a washer & dryer, and outdoor bathroom. This really made my first visit to Tallahassee special.

Marcia couldn’t be nicer. Everything was perfect and as described. Great camping spots, fun with the animals, and a gracious host. Secluded and quiet yet close to the amenities of the city and nature trails. What could be better?

We had a great time. We came from hours away for a getaway and horse ride. Our kids love being able to walk up and visit and feed the horses while we were there.
If you’re rv camping in the winter the outdoor shower is very rustic. Plan to manage your gray tanks and use your shower. In warmer weather it wouldn’t be an issue.

We had a wonderful stay with Marcia and Shantel! Our site was next to the horse paddocks and we set up our awning so that we could hang out and watch them. It was so nice to wake up and hear them in the morning at feeding time. We had all the amenities we needed: community bathroom with toilet and sink, hot outdoor shower, community refrigerator, community fire pit, 30 amp hookup and water hook up. Laid back and rustic atmosphere with hosts you are comfortable talking to. Trail rides are their specialty so make sure you take a ride with them through the Apalachicola National Forest. Shantel is a great trail boss and will educate and answer questions along the way. The horses were sweet and it was awesome to watch them in their environment whenever we wanted. Thank you for sharing your ranch with us. We will be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at crazy 8 ranch. The owner Marci rescues horses and offers trail rides. Everyone was very nice and it was a memorable experience being back on a horse as I hadn’t been since I was a little girl. There was little to no noise after dark and you will have an absolutely amazing view of the stars from anywhere on the ranch.
I believe there are only 1 or 2 RV sites available with water and electricity hookups, neither was available so I was dry camping on the ranch right next to the horse pens and pool which I didn’t mind at all. It was a new experience for my pups too as they had never seen a horse that close up before.
The road there is VERY bumpy so be careful coming in as there are lots of potholes. Only about 2 miles from the nearest gas station and about 15 mins from dining. If you have a larger rig you might want to check with her before you book to make sure there’s room.
Cons were no bathrooms or showers on site so if your RV isn’t self contained like mine you may have an issue. There’s also horse poo everywhere but that’s expected on a horse ranch.

We enjoyed our stay at Crazy 8. There was water and electric available by our camping spot. We enjoyed all the animals and were allowed to feed them. We also did a bonfire one evening and it was very enjoyable. We were offered the opportunity to ride the horses, but we're not pressured. Kids would love this.
