Blue Barn Hollow
Anne was a great host and provided me with all the info I needed. The land is beautiful and the area for camping is a nice distance from the farm, so you can have peace but also enjoy a nice view. Feeding the various farm animals was fun. We hope to come back again.

Great Spot!
We Car camped/Roof Tent camped with our Jeeps and it was an awesome time! Anne and Scott were both amazing hosts and we love the farm. We got to meet all the animal on the farm and even got some duck eggs to try. Definitely recommend this hipcamp! Thank you both!

Kid friendly camping
As other reviewers have noted, Anne is a very gracious and accommodating host! She was prepared with local recommendations for food and hiking, gave us a full tour of the farm, and overall made sure our stay was comfortable. We purchased a wood bundle to use in the fire pit and Anne lent us a table and two chairs. Our son loved interacting with the animals which made the stay so memorable. We look forward to staying again in the future! Thank you so much Anne.

Anne offers a nice pasture for camping in a very beautiful part of Connecticut. She was a super friendly host showing us the way back to the campsite and then giving us a tour of her farm. Our kids loved seeing all the animals! The location for camping was very private. The next morning I went for a ride on my gravel bike. The local trails and roads around here couldn’t be better! It was an awesome place to ride a bike and extremely picturesque! There are great hiking trails and there’s also a few local restaurants as well.
Overall, you couldn’t ask for a better rural getaway!

Bucolic small farm camping
Absolutely beautiful spot. A gracious and knowledgeable host. Clean Porto potty. Horses. Ducks. Wildlife. Quiet. Solitude. Plenty of space and easy to traverse drive into the bucolic camping spot which is located in the back field.
Lots of hiking nearby. And the drive to get there through the backwoods of Connecticut is gorgeous.
Fresh eggs and produce!

Excellent first HipCamp experience! Anne was so communicative and accomadating to my last minute request. It was a hot summer day but I awoke to ample shade beneath the beautiful tree in the field. The spot is flat for camping, tucked away for privacy, and resplendent with bullfrogs and nighttime insects to lull you to sleep, then birdsong and peaceful morning vibes. Thanks for hosting me!

Beautiful small working farm. Campsite is set back in a private area in their back field (visible back to farmhouse, but probably 500ft away). Anne was an awesome host, helpful and attentive. Provided tons of great recommendations for hiking and exploring the area. Good spot for sure.

Anne and Scott are awesome hosts! Our trip was arranged extremely last minute and they went above and beyond for our stay!
This a a fantastic camp site and highly recommended. The spot is on the opposite end of a large expansive field but felt very private. We have a rooftop Jeep tent and drove right up to the spot.
Across the street is a amazing public hiking trail right along a nicely flowing stream! On the property is a even nicer and more private section!
We saw, a eagle, an owl flying around at night! (the best), shooting stars, nice horses, ducks, an amazing vegetable garden, cows, etc. Something to see at every turn.
Anne and Scott acquired a new fire pit that same day and we kept it blazing all night! That thing was huge!

This site is stunning and we had a perfect evening at Anne’s place. The back meadow felt really private and the views in all directions were gorgeous. Bonus is that there is also a ton to do in the area! I’ll definitely be back.

Blue Barn Hollow
It was picturesque with all the barns, and Anne and Scott were extremely welcoming and made themselves very available. Our kids loved sleeping near the horses, and helping to harvest duck eggs. And we were very pleased to find a beautiful hiking trail directly across the street! It felt like we were in the deep country yet we were close to restaurants and several small towns. We definitely wanna come back to the area to check out more of what it has to offer.
The campsite was behind a huge oak tree pretty far from the main house, so we felt like we could make noise without disturbing anyone. The main road, which you cannot see has some traffic on it that you can hear a bit later than we would’ve liked, but we still all sleep great.
We wished we hadn’t come in so kate so that we could’ve taken advantage of the fire pit, hommock, game room etc.

Anne was a terrific host. The property is beautiful and it’s so fun to watch the animals. The game room is great for the kids, especially in the rain. Surrounding area has a a lot to offer. Would definitely stay again!

Had a wonderful time! Anne and Scott are perfect hosts, always available, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The farm is in a great location- close to hiking, biking, swimming, breweries, distilleries and restaurants. There
was no shortage of things to do. Looking forward to going back!

Anne was a great host! Since we arrived in the rain she let us camp in her barn to stay dry which was really nice. She let us into her house to use the bathroom and even made us coffee in the morning. These little touches made our camping experience so comfortable. We were near lots of hiking and biking trails which made for an overall great weekend. Thank you so much Anne!

What a fantastic spot! Anne was extremely gracious and helpful. Our daughters were thrilled all day, playing with the ducks, meeting the horses, taking a dip, taking a hike (stunning trail across the street). Very cool farm stand too, and fire pit. We’ll be back.
