We had an absolute blast with Cindie! the yurts were so nice, Cindie was so attentive and always had great reccs for what to do/eat in town. The wine tasting was stellar. Zen Zen gardens is a paonia gem and we hope this becomes a landmark for the community. By far the most fun we’ve had in a while

We enjoyed ZenZen Gardens so much that we stayed two extra nights! Lovely garden and spectacular scenery. We enjoyed sipping wine from the terrace in the afternoons. Comfy and very clean. We definitely hope to return!

Rain made it very challenging to park our camper here. The facility was beautiful, and I expect we would have had a different experience on a dry day when we could park in the field far away from other campers and bathrooms. Due to the rain, it was not private and we felt like a burden to the campground with our dogs and kids.

Great boondocking spot. The winery grounds are lovely. The camping area is an empty field. Nice clean porta potties with a water setup for washing hands. Nice views and a sweet little town. I will stay again.

Spent a couple nights at ZenZen. The camping is in their extended parking lot which is a field that has been tiled over and is mostly leveled but is still dirt and bumpy. Not a problem for trailer camping. Got a little soft after the rain. Could be interesting in a down pour. The lot is by the road but the road is semi private and not busy. This will feel like camping in a parking lot unless you are tent camping in the grass area.
The views are great. The wine tasting on the steep-side price-wise but the wines were really good. Hosts were welcoming. Vibe is chill. Toilets are port-potty. WiFi is available near buildings but I had a strong phone signal (Verizon).

The glamping experience at ZenZen gardens is nothing short of magical. The views are gorgeous, flowers adorn the property, and the tent is comfortable & cute. Our dog absolutely loved being able to hang out on the property with other pups. We did the wine tasting and enjoyed the veranda which were additional pluses!
Paonia is also a gem with a surprisingly amazing food scene and lots of things to see and do. We visited many local wineries (all charming) and made a day trip to Crested Butte. Perfect weekend!

The veranda and setting are lovely, particularly on a very hot afternoon and evening. We added a wine tasting and enjoyed the gardens and the beautiful views. Spending the night on an unshaded, dirt parking lot was disappointing; perhaps I didn't read the description carefully enough. With the heat and strong winds blowing dust, we cut our stay from 2 nights to one.

When we walked through the gate, I knew this was going to be an epic experience! The grounds are exceptionally beautiful with flower gardens, butterflies and beautiful views as the sun was setting.
We sat on the patio under the cool mist that offset the heat of the day. We drank wine and laughed along side Cindie while her beautiful dog Ginger chased butterflies…and literally smiled the whole time! It was like ‘living poetry’. What a perfect way to end a day of traveling through the mountains:)

Cosmos Glamping Tent Zenzen Gardens
Great stay! The tent was exactly as described, there was even a mini swamp cooler to help keep the temperature down. The neighborhood deer named Alfred came by to visit a few times. Would stay again.

we enjoyed glamping in Cosmos on Zen Zen Gardens situated between Paonia and Hodgekiss along the foothills. There are 3 platform tents very roomy with everything you need from coffee to bedding and towels. Plus they have electrical outlets. Onsite are 2 shower stalls with sinks and 2 porta-potty toilets. In addition to the stay, we had a great time attending one of their events onsite. The staff is super friendly and the gardens are beautiful!

What a wonderful getaway! I spent three nights at ZenZen in the Cosmo tent listening to the breeze and the birds. The tents are beautifully appointed (coffee and wi-fi, fresh towels) and have air conditioners that cool things down nicely (I visited in mid-July) for a good night's sleep. The showers have everything you'll need and the sheets are crisp and fragrance free.
The grounds and gardens are beautiful. Cindie, the proprietress, was my gracious hostess. She and her staff were so accommodating, warm, and professional. They treated me like a prince! Everything has been carefully thought of to make my stay in the glamping tent easy and relaxing.
The wines are wonderful (go for the petite syrah), and the charcuterie board turned out to be dinner one night. I will be back. This serene little farm is a keeper! Thank you, Cindie and your staff!

Very laid back place, loved being able to let my dogs run around with the other dogs on site. Tent camping areas were small but we got a good spot that was quiet and out of the way.

It’s a it to hot in July to be in wide open field and with the lot Perry much dirt! It will make a bit of a difference with some gravel. We didn’t end up staying after all we went to near by RV spot… the winery is amazing great wine the cheese platter delicious and the gardens are beautiful.

Cindie was really accommodating and great to work with. Her land is super beautiful and all that comes to visit will enjoy a very peaceful stay. The wine tasting is the best in all of the valley. A very personal experience.

I loved how comfortable the glamping tent is, especially the bed. It’s appointed with the essentials for an enjoyable stay. This includes linens, towels, water, coffee, and a powerful fan, which is good for chilling, the tent down and drowning out noises.
The setting is so relaxing, peaceful, and quiet. I brought my dog to enjoy chilling too.
Cindie was gracious with her time and accommodating when I chatted with her in the tasting area. She offered hi hiking suggestions for my dog and me. I stayed two nights and ordered the charcuterie board each night and enjoyed it while sipping a glass of wine while drinking in the spectacular view.
The outdoor shower was better than expected with hot water and a powerful stream. There’s also a sink in the shower area.
Zenzen Gardens offers the tranquility my spirit and soul was looking for.

Depending on the type of camper you are this maybe is a great place to stay the night. The outdoor space with the pond and gardens was lovely (very well maintained). The pictures and descriptions are accurate. If you are more of a cost conscious camper, this isn't the stop. After fees it's $45 a night to park in a dirt parking lot with no amenities, privacy or shade. In comparison to other wineries in the area (we visited the next day) the wine tasting was pricey for very small portions.
I rated 3 stars because it was simple okay. Nothing bad nor anything special.

Cindie is a kind and gracious host. She has an absolutely gorgeous property in the Northfork Valley with wide open space and Mountain views.
Afternoons were in the high 90s during our stay and Cindie kindly offered to let us move our van under a big cottonwood tree on the private part of her property during the heat of the day. Instead, we opted to spend the afternoons in the shade of the veranda admiring her beautiful gardens or in the covered stage area that she uses for live music performances. Fortunately, evenings and mornings are gloriously cool in this area.
It was fun to watch a resident deer family grazing right outside our van at dusk. We also enjoyed the wine and charcuterie plate she serves as part of her tasting room business. The wine from a local winery, Alfred Eames, was excellent! We bought a bottle of our favorite, Sangre Del Sol, to take home with us.
The only thing that could be a concern would be the condition of the field if it were to rain. The Majestic View field has been plowed in the last year or two, so the soil is pretty loose. There are some morning glories growing in, but if it were to rain, it would become very muddy. Since the property is located in high desert, rain is not typical, but certainly can happen during monsoon season. My guess is, that if it did rain, Cindie would have guests park their rig in the compacted parking lot area.

Great spot. Very quiet and peaceful. Close to town but not so close you get a lot of traffic. Only had two issues while camping but it wasnt property related. The place was beautiful and the porta potties were very well kept...I was very nervous about that. We didn't get to try the wines sadly but maybe next time!

Loved the location of zen zen gardens!! The host Cindie is kind and helpful. There was a rather large monsoon hitting us when we arrived Friday evening. Fortunately zen zen gardens has a lovely cottage that was available. Cindie was flexible with us to get a safe dry place to stay for our first night. The second night we did camp on a nice flat surface by the pond. Lovely time. Would go back again anytime.

The first portion of our 3 night stay in the violet cottage was absolutely magical, to the point we considered coming back later in summer (and even dreamed of having our wedding here and booking a venue consult).
However, the vibe changed for us when many other groups visiting the property (either for over night stays or wine tastings) had uncontrolled reactive dogs who were off leash with zero recall at hours where dogs were told to be on leash. My dog (who is a task trained medical alert service animal) was charged by one of these off leash reactive dogs while returning from a day trip at 3:30pm during leashed hours, and when asked to recall their dog the owner was nowhere to be found. We had returned early that day to go on the veranda to enjoy wine, however given the circumstance, we didnt feel safe so my partner went to purchase wine for us to enjoy in the cottage instead, and 2 mins after opening the $40 bottle that SAME dog came INTO the cottage to try and get at my dog who was peacefully settled inside on his place mat while we enjoyed the breeze with the door ajar since we werent feeling safe to sit even outside on the cottage patio given what just happened
But the reason this went from private host feedback to a public review is to warn others who might have either a service animal like myself or a pet that doesn’t tolerate that kind of behavior as eloquently as my dog did…because come to find out that brindle dog in question is also a resident of the property…
