For our History buff’s, in 2015 our site was granted a historic designation from the Douglas County Historic Preservation Board. This designation was in recognition for the work of Robert LeFevre. From 1955-1968, Mr. LeFevre built the Freedom School, a full-time graduate school focusing on the teaching of the Libertarian philosophy movement. These historic buildings are currently closed off to the public but are in viewing range for pictures. Learn more about this land: South of Larkspur, located off Highway 105 lies a secretly beautiful and blushingly rustic canyon brimming with history, culture, and serenity. At Stone Canyon’s secluded 99-acres of rolling mountainous terrain, you will find the ideal location for your getaway. Rich with the quaint trickling sounds of East Plum Creek, the whistling and rustling of nature’s gentle wildlife, or the crackle of a slow-burning fire, we have 4 camping areas perfect for your family/friends or solo camping needs. Great Stay
Stone Camp was just what we were looking for! Visiting the Renaissance Faire, from Denver and needed a close by spot for a few nights. Very friendly, possibly the cleanest portipotty I have ever seen, and falling asleep to the near by creek was perfect! Justin was great at checking us in. We rented a propane fire pit and it was there waiting for us! Even put out decent heat! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Beautiful site and friendly staff
Beautiful site and friendly and helpful staff. The sites available were a little challenging to get camping gear to. The staff was accommodating when the picnic table and fire pit weren't at the camping site. The peace and quiet was a relief from the city. The gated community was nice too. We would go back to Stone Canyon

Great place!
We had camp spot 1 and 2 reserved and both were wonderful. We had 16 in our party and had plenty of space to spread out. Spot 2 has less shade and is a rocky-pebbly surface but it’s by the creek and really big and it was perfect for our set-up. Space 1 is more grassy and secluded but not near the water. The owners were great to work with and had the fire pits and picnic tables all setup for us ahead of time. The grounds are big and normally used as a camp for Douglas county school kids. Our kids had a great time exploring the camp. We felt safe and secluded. A great trip!

Great place to get away that isn't too far from Denver. The land is large enough you don't really hear or see anyone. Our kids had a blast running the property.
