A Rocky Mountain Glamping Experience!
*** Bliss Camp awarded Runner-Up for Best Glamping in Colorado for 2023 ***
Welcome to Bliss Canyon! Enjoy our mountain getaway in one of two unique, classy, handcrafted Gypsy Wagon Campers, The Shimza and the Sapphira. Towering rock outcroppings surround you in our private canyon, the stream lulls you to sleep, the birds serenade you in the morning. Bliss Pond or the Heart Pool will tempt you with a bracing dip for a cold water immersion experience in crystal clear waters. Explore the surrounding national forest or kick back and try some fishing or simply relaxing in camp. (See separate listing to reserve Bliss Camp in Sapphira Gypsy Wagon or the Frontier Tent)
The Shimza is 8’ x 10’ with a full-size bed for 2, complete bedding provided, counter and cabinets, lots of storage cubbies, Dutch door, fold-up table and benches 1 movable to make room to sleep 2 more on a mattress on the floor (provided with bedding) or room for your dog bed. Solar electricity provides power for lights, and your devices. Shimza is designed and built by Dot and Byron's company, SimBLISSity Tiny Homes, a premiere Tiny Home builder.
Relax in your private backyard or head over to the shared outdoor kitchen for your personal meal prep. After your day of adventure or kicking back, enjoy a hot shower. Share your revelations of the day around the campfire, roast marshmallows, or relish your favorite beverage or treat. Game of Horseshoes anyone? Safe axe throwing?
Kitchen has sink, fresh, potable water, kitchenware—pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc--2 burner propane stovetop, BBQ with side burner, critter-resistant food safe, bear-proof trash can, and picnic tables outside. We provide a convenient propane campfire for safety since our climate is dry and often windy. No candles or open flames please!
If you would like a private bedroom for extra glampers, book the Teardrop Extra Bedroom in addition to the Wagon. To reserve go to Property listing, find in "Extras" located after "Things to Do."
There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Dot for guidance.) Several NF access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.
Friendly, quiet dogs are welcome. We are dog lovers but don't always enjoy cleaning after their visits, especially dog hair on bedding. There is a $40.00 per dog fee, refundable if there is no extensive cleaning needed. Please pick up waste as soon as it happens. (Please do an honest evaluation of your dog. If it does not play well with others, 2 and 4 legged, or it sleeps in your bed it may not be a good fit here.)
Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon!

The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails.
