This cabin was built in the 1860’s by Otis Smith, we have been told the Smith Fork of the Gunnison was named after Otis. He was the first silver miner in the area. As you can see, the original cabin s now the main living area. The bedroom and bathroom were added in the 1930’s. In 2020, with spare time on our hands, we decided to restore the cabin. We hope you enjoy your time here and leave renewed and relaxed.
