Campgrounds, people, noises, regulations, things you won't find here. You will find happiness, peace, the sound of the winds in 3000 year old trees, alpine streams tricking through ancient untouched forests, great horned owls and moose calling into the night, coyote echoing at sunset signaling night approaching, the warm smell of pine and summer grasses, touching the warm rocks next to the stream while you listen to the birds and crickets. I could go on and on, these are the things I see when I close my eyes and think of this place. This site sits at the base of (2) 14ers. in thee middle of a sunken meadow. This is the most beautiful and secluded camping experience you will experience in Colorado. There are miles of 4x4 and atv trails. There are countless hiking trails for day and short nature hikes. Above the site sits bristlecone pines that have appeared in ansel adams prints and are absolutely amazing. The sites sit on 160 private acres which borders national forest. There is a small a-frame tent that's insulated with big windows, locking door, skylight, solar for charging electronics, and a full size bed. The cabin is roughly the size of the full size mattress but seems bigger because of the a-frame roof. Its warm and cozy and keeps the critters and animals out, so you feel safe and comfortable. There are lots of amenities on site.  There is a picnic table, 10'x12' waterproof awning and wood deck.  There is a bbq, bear box, huge stone fire pit and bucket toilet. The road into the site was graded last year but still has small potholes typical of a Colorado county road, most low-profile cars will do fine.  If you have a rv or camper, the turn around is limited, no tow behind campers or vehicles over 20'Campgrounds, people, noises, regulations, things you won't find here. The camping spot was great! Beautiful views and a well equipped site. William was a good communicator and his directions were spot on. Only downside is the camper may be a little cramped if you're over 6 feet tall.

The best part is that it is off the beaten path. Beautiful, private spot to hang out with the family and the dogs. Great fishing and hiking nearby. We would definitely book this spot again. Road to the property is a bit bumpy but easy for our Pathfinder and Outback.

Mountain Meadow Glamp Camp
I had a really lovely and relaxing time at William's property. The little AFrame was a the perfect size for me & my dog. We slept super comfortably both nights (and it was pretty chilly when we were there!). The whole space felt very private and clean. The road to the property is quite bumpy, but it's worth getting out there and having that amount of space to yourself. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a secluded space in nature. And, If you are there on a clear night, don't forget to check out the INCREDIBLE stars!

William, the host, is a great dude and is very responsive. The camp site is immaculate and is in the neighborhood of some really awesome hikes. We really enjoyed hanging out on the deck in the shade and admiring the scenery. The A frame is cozy. Not too far from Alma if you need to run into town to grab supplies.

Great stay in a small pocket of paradise! This campsite is at around 11,000 feet in elevation and near many 14ers! The site felt extremely private and peaceful. The A-frame was clean and cozy. We took advantage of the available grill and campfire each night. I would absolutely stay here again!

We loved this little camp and Kevin was a great host! Easily accessible with 4wd. I would recommend bringing your own pillows and the electricity wasn't working for us. Other than that, privacy, views, and wildlife were awesome. We even got a visit from two little foxes who were very curious about our dinner. Lots of flies during the day, but what can ya do, it's the great outdoors. A-frame was super cozy and the bbq grill was super handy. Would def recommend for couples and great for pups!

This may very well be the most beautiful and secluded camp I've stayed in! It was a perfect evening of an amazing fire under some of the most stunning stars one could hope to see. If you're looking for peace and beauty this is the place!

What a great spot to camp! Beautiful, private and well-equipped :) We had a wonderful time in camp, and hiking to visit the ancient trees. The bristlecone forest is amazing. Even took the truck up some of the old mining roads. Plenty of nature and CO history to fill our weekend. Highly recommend!

Mountain Meadow Glamp Camp
Kevin was amazing and provided excellent directions! We were able to find our way in the pitch black as we got there later than expected the first night. The campsite was beautiful and we went on some awesome hikes and saw a herd of elk! We will be back.

This camp spot was awesome. Definitely worth every penny having this big meadow all to yourselves. Kevin was great and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. In the mornings, you’d see the elk heard across the meadow on the mountain. The fishing nearby was great. I would definitely stay again.

Amazing. This is such a lovely, secluded place. Camp was clean, the instructions were clear, and we loved the hike up to the bristlescone. We even had a fire set up for up upon arrival!

This site was exactly what my wife and I needed. It was quiet, secluded and had all the equipment needed to have a stress-free time. Kevin was very responsive to our every need. I would definitely come back in the future.

Overall we had a great experience. However, when we arrived the linens on the bed were completely soaked. We had to take off the sheets and even the mattress cover because they were wet. Luckily the mattress itself was dry and I had brought my own sheets. We stayed mostly dry during the night (very cold though) but we noticed the next morning water was dripping from the ceiling. I’m assuming that’s how the linens got completely soaked before we arrived. Other than that, the views were beautiful.

Spectacular spot, immersed in nature yet a half an hour from the town of Alma, comfortable camper, set up and stocked with basic necessities in mind. This was a special place. We enjoyed our quiet stay and the kids enjoyed adventuring here very much.

I had a great experience tent camping on Kevin's land! His directions were very helpful and made it easy getting there. Roads were really rough though for my Honda Fit. A truck/SUV would've been much better! The camping spot was quiet and peaceful. The camper was the perfect size for me and my dog, and it was perfectly insulated from the cold and wind. There was a grill including paper towels/plates, utensils, trash bags, etc. I brought my own firewood, but Kevin was kind enough to offer more if I needed any! I would definitely camp here again.

This place was amazing! Couldn't have asked for a more scenic site, and Kevin has everything you can think of prepped in the bear box. Beautiful, (mostly) quite/secluded, and easy to get to. Will be back soon...

Enjoying the quiet meadow

Absolutely loved staying on Kevin’s land. The cool little A frame trailer was the perfect t amount of space for two people. The views from the site and around his land in general were amazing. A huge meadow engulfed in mountains all around was great. It was also incredibly quiet and felt like we had the utmost privacy.

Kevin was so welcoming and friendly! He pointed out a moose at the lake right by the campsite. The camper was clean and very comfortable and warm. He left spare firewood and a few spare supplies in the bear box. Overall the campsite and experience were fantastic and we would highly recommend staying here!

While Colorado is filled with breathtaking camping opportunities, Kevin's plot of land stands out. The tiny camper is a perfect refuge during weather or on those chilly nights where tent camping may be a bit tough on those who don't have the warmest gear. While there is hiking directly off the site's location, you're going to spend most of your time basking in the sun while gazing up at that amazing views of Mt. Bross (if I remember correctly). Great fire pit, and while the original photos don't show it, they have added a BBQ, so no need to bring your own cooking devices. It may be way down the dusty road, and a tad buggy due to the tiny pond and marshy area surrounding the site, but absolutely worth it. 10/10 would recommend.

Such a great campsite! So private and beautiful. The camp site offered even more than promised. A grill, firewood, bear box full of supplies, 5 camp chairs. My husband and I brought 6 kids aged 14-21, many of whom hadn’t camped or had limited experience. It was a perfect place to be!

The good: -The location was great if you have solitude in mind. Isolated, quiet, and fantastic views. -The bear box was stocked with handy basic supplies (paper towels + plates, plastic cutlery, TP, camp chairs) The not-so-good: -The road to get to the camp site is ROUGH. The listing says "most low-profile cars will do fine", but my little Mazda 3 BARELY cleared some parts of it. -The site is next to a body of water, so I was expecting mosquitos, but not the swarms of flies that didn't leave me alone the entire time. -I confirmed with the owner twice about having pre-cut firewood on site, but there was none to be found when I arrived. When I texted the number they provided to ask about this, I never received a reply. -The bed was dirty and did not have clean linens on it like the owner said there would be.

Perfect getaway!

We loved camping on Kevin’s land. It is a beautiful place and incredibly quiet. Kevin is building a cabin about a 1/4 mile from the site, but I couldn’t hear any construction from the site. The canopy was perfect for us because it reasoned quite a bit the day we arrived. It protected us from the rain and gave us a place to really enjoy how beautiful the rain was. My wife who is a beginner camper had a wonderful time. We will definitely be coming back to this incredible site.
