What a wonderful visit to the sweetest Cabin imaginable. Hartsell is a darling little town with lots to do within a short drive… Hot Springs, a drive-in, movie theater, great restaurants and outdoor activities. The house was exactly as pictured with wood for the fireplace, a well stocked kitchen, a cozy bed, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and absolutely stunning views. We had an incredible time and would go back in a heartbeat!

Little Buffalo Cabin
Little Buffalo Cabin was so cute and cozy and perfect for a weekend away. It was clean and well-appointed, with great amenities and amazing views. Plenty of space for our kiddos and dog to run around outside and say hi to the horses, walking distance to the general store and to some of the best pizza, and stocked up with wood for the stove (which we didn’t need to use). We had a great stay!

We absolutely loved this cabin!!! The pictures are good on the listing but they still don’t capture how truly beautiful and well thought out this property is. The view is stunning from almost every window. The smell is inviting and homey. It’s clean and the decor is perfect everywhere you look. After camping for days my kids loved having a tv which I didn’t realize was included. It was everything we needed and more. We had dinner outback at a little table and watched the horses graze. Pancakes in the morning at the large dining room table for my daughter’s birthday. The fenced yard was awesome for our two dogs and the stars didn’t disappoint during the late night potty session. Highly recommend!

What a lovely cabin with amazing views & lots of small sweet comforts. I had a great solo stay decompressing amidst the vast quiet of the snowy peaks & sweet horse neighbors. Would totally recommend!

We absolutely love this cabin. Our 4 and 7 year old had an amazing time running around outside, while we loved gazing at the praire and mountain views during any free minute we had. Walking to get some delicious pizza for dinner and saying hello to the horses in the back were some of our highlights. We even had a little flurry one night and enjoyed the evening by the fire. The cabin itself is a beautiful example of a quintessential Coloradoan historical timepiece. We can't wait to come back!

I’m so glad I was able to book this cabin! It’s so adorable I could just die of happiness. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with dishes. I didn’t check out the grill, I went down the street for a burger and beverage. I love how things were kept as original as possible. Will be back for some night sky action soon.

Loved staying at the cabin for a second time! It is quite, clean, and relaxing. I love that you can walk to the restaurant in town and also see a herd of Bison. Leslie is a wonderful and thoughtful host.

We had a great time and would definitely go back, again. The cabin has a ton of history. It's like going back in time. But, it was also very comfortable. If you can score a meal at Zuccero's, you won't be disappointed.

Wow! This was such a fantastic stay and well
worth the price. It really goes above just glamping and felt like home, with all the amenities. I would recommend it to anyone. Beautiful view, quiet, nice amenities, comfortable bed and responsive host.

Little Buffalo Cabin
We loved staying in Leslie’s cabin in Hartsel. Our dog loved the fenced yard. Walk to town was 5 minutes and views out back window are picture postcard worthy. Cabin is a bit rustic with no AC or dishwasher but even in early August it cooled down at night.

We had a great stay at the Little Buffalo Cabin. It was quiet and peaceful, and the cabin was very clean, cozy, and stocked with anything we would need. We were only there for one night, but wish we could have stayed for longer.

We loved the cabin from the moment we saw it. It’s great that it’s down the road where it’s quiet and peaceful. We were able to see the Mountain View and there were 3 horses in the field behind us. The cabin was cozy, clean and loved the decor. It has everything that you need plus a huge front yard for our dogs. Then a small back area off the kitchen to bbq and relax. It was everything we wanted and more. A hidden gem for sure and we will definitely be back to stay again!!! Oh and so close to several lakes for fishing and hiking!

The cabin was so well-kept and cozy. We loved sitting on the chairs in the enclosed porch having coffee. There was great access to the wildlife and recreation areas nearby. It was so charming and comfortable

Little Buffalo Cabin
The Little Buffalo Cabin was just right for what we wanted! It was clean and quiet. We came for the dark sky’s and they did not disappoint! The only complaint is the current Hartsel Post Office has a really bright light on the back that will blind you in the dark, but that is easy to ignore. Our little dog had a great time as well!

My dad and I (I’m 50, he’s 76) are fishing our way around Colorado, and Leslie’s cabin in Hartsel was our first stop. It was perfect. A great place to unwind after fishing the Dream Stream. Fully stocked kitchen, soap, towels, a beautiful backyard looking out over the valley and mountains. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.
We will definitely book this place again when we’re out that way.

Most travelers pass right through Hartsel but this stay is a must. The cabin is welcoming and warm with the wood burning stove, furnishings, and decor. The rich history of the cabin and the town makes you feel at home away from home. The cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and provides lovely place settings to enjoy a meal at the quaint kitchen table. Waking up to views of the mountains and a local bison herd is a special treat. It is also in walking distance of two local restaurants. The host was quickly responsive and kind!

This is so quiet and decorated so nicely. The fireplace was wonderful. Perhaps the alarm is too close to the fireplace.
Any chance turning up the water heater is possible? The water did not stay hot for very long.

What a beautiful cabin! Nicely decorated and well supplied with all the basic amenities and more. Loved the wood burning stove supplied with firewood. Definitely the perfect quintessential cabin in the mountains I was looking for. Highly recommend if you're looking to spend a lot of time snuggling indoors. Not necessarily the best location for outdoor activities though - at least 20 mins to the nearest hiking trail and 40 mins from hot springs. It took me about 15 mins on foot to see everything there is to see in Hartsel. But perfect for a cozy wintertime getaway! Well worth the price.

This cabin has everything you need to cozy up on winter's night in the high plains of Park County. With running water, a full kitchen, electricity, heat, and linens, this little cabin comfortably sleeps 4 and has everything you need to relax before a day outdoors.
Located in the small village of Hartsel, there is just one general store in the area so make sure to pack your groceries. This little cabin has parking right outside and is very accessible. The outdoor area includes a fenced in yard for the dogs, an outhouse and a patio for grilling and eating in the warmer weather as well as some sweeping mountain views.
The interior of the cabin includes a sunroom, living room, 2 bedrooms, a dining room, a bathroom, a kitchen, and even an area to do your laundry. A wood stove and necessary wood is provided to keep the cabin extra toasty but there is also a heater. The interior is rustic with western touches like vintage art, a leather checkerboard, and tin detailing.
All in all, the Little Buffalo cabin was cozy, clean, and accessible, with all the amenities it provided, it exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking to stay in Hartsel.
Note: This cabin is at almost 9,000ft of elevation, please be aware of the altitude and stay hydrated!
