This 6-acre campsite offers a secluded getaway with stunning aspen and stargazing views. The property features a fire pit (with lid), picnic table, and outhouse with portable toilet. Tents, vans, and dry-docking camper trailers are welcome, with amenities for every outdoor type. Access: 4 designated back-in sites for camper trailers (two lower, two upper) and dispersed tent camping. Facilities On-Site: Established fire pit (with cooking grate & lid), picnic table, and outhouse with portable toilet Optional Cooking: Gas grill & gas fire pit available during burn ban. (must supply your own propane for both). Water and sewer Potable well with a hand pump located just across the road. Dump Station: Conveniently located only 2 miles from the property. Dog Policy & Guidelines Dogs are welcome, but strict leash laws are enforced. Camp Pronghorn
Site is very pleasant in the morning and evening. Things do quiet down pretty well by 10 pm after some barnyard noises. Was a bit pricey for the value all things considered, although the 6 acres of space is nice. No waste disposal accessible for many miles. We didn't take this into account. But is a good midpoint for accessing trails around the south park valley, and was nice to come back to in the afternoons.

Scenic Spot with a Kind Host

Camp Pronghorn
We enjoyed our stay here. The host was friendly, responsive, and accommodating with our questions and even a late checkout. The area is beautiful with great views and plenty of nature to take in. The site itself felt private, though a little tight for both our tents and canopy, and it could have been tidier. There was also a bit more night noise than expected. Overall, it was a lovely spot and we are grateful for the host’s kindness and hospitality.

Camp Pronghorn
This is a beautiful, heavily treed spot. We really loved walking around. The host was helpful and even left us some gear in case we needed it; a propane fire pit and a canopy. We’d return here for sure.
