Once again, an absolutely perfect time at the tipi. Never disappoints! This is my 5th time there and I will be returning again and again. Charles is a fantastic host too!!

We loved staying in the tipi! The air mattress was super comfortable, the area is beautiful, and we stayed pretty dry despite the rain. We made it in/out on the dirt road fine in a low clearance Prius, we had a bit of trouble finding it but Charles responded quickly and showed us the way. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!

Clear directions to the site with beautiful views! Weather was questionable and Charles came up to chat and check in. Overall great stay with all we needed, perfect for the dogs to run and explore. Close to Colorado National Monument and 10/10 sunsets!

Beautiful Views Tipi
Incredibly beautiful spot that feels far more removed from Grand Junction than it is. After camping in the national parks for a few days, being able to stretch out in the comfortable tipi and not set up our own site was pretty great. We also loved the sunset from the cliffs.
Charles was not there when we arrived but he was easy to communicate with and provided everything we needed. One tip: Bring enough drinking/cooking water with you as the spigot is pretty far away from the tipi and requires you to get back into your vehicle.

Absolutely magical! 🌟 Staying at Charle’s Mountain View Tipi was like stepping into another world — a peaceful, awe-inspiring slice of rustic heaven tucked away in nature’s arms. The gigantic authentic tipi? Breathtaking. It’s spacious, beautifully designed, and radiates the perfect mix of adventure and comfort. Waking up to the mountain views with the fire pit gently crackling outside felt like a dream you never want to end.
The setup is thoughtful and serene — you can tell a lot of care went into creating this space. We especially loved the little loop path leading past the bathroom area to the adorable smaller tipi, which adds even more charm and whimsy to the experience. The bathroom area was well-maintained and had all the essentials, and honestly, having that kind of convenience in such a natural setting was a huge plus.
If we could wish for one thing, it would be a more defined trail to the bathroom area, especially at night. But even that didn’t take away from the overall wonder of the stay — it just added a touch more adventure!
If you’re looking for a unique, soul-soothing escape with serious wow-factor, this is it. We left feeling recharged, inspired, and already dreaming of our next stay. Thank you, Charle, for creating such a magical space! 💫🔥⛰️

The site was very clean and well maintained. There were tables and chairs around the fire pit and picnic tables. There where tipi was carpeted and very clean. We had a good night sleep before heading out to the National Monument which was close by.

Awesome! The views are absolutely stunning, my pictures don’t do it justice but you can see the valleys and the national monument from it. The site was very clean as well as organized with extra chairs etc. very easy to find with the instructions listed, however I would suggest screenshotting them because I didn’t have a lot of service on the drive lol. also very much appreciated the grill. I would highly recommend this. Charles was an awesome host and checked in on us a couple of times.

Great tipi on beautiful property. Feels secluded and private despite being on Chuck (Charles) property not far from his home and near town. He was highly available and responsive and left us to enjoy during our stay. The tipis are large, comfortable, and spacious (we were upgraded to the larger tipi due to its availability which was not asked for but very appreciated).
It is expected and we did not mind or lose sleep but the tipi does make noise (the canvas and the structure) shifting with the wind, nothing ear plugs wouldn't fix if you needed. Star gazing is beautiful as well.

I LOVED this site and Charles is wonderful and generous! The rock formations around it are breathtaking and the site has a great table chairs and fire pit. I can’t wait to return!!

The tipi was in a great spot...totally separate from anything else. Charles (Chuck) showed us where to see a beautiful sunset near the tipi. He was a great host...very kind and helpful.

What a cool place! Chuck was very hospitable, the area is beautiful and a great jumping off point to explore Colorado National Monument and the surrounding area. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay in the tipi. It was perfect for a quick camping getaway. It was nice having a toilet, tables, chairs, and a fire pit all there and ready to go. The views are gorgeous and we spent the day at Colorado National Monument. The host was responsive and communicative. Highly recommend. One thing to consider.. one night it was very windy and the tipi was very loud inside. I am a very light sleeper, so I did end up sleeping in my car that night but that is not a reflection of the site itself, just something to consider when staying in a tip,i which was a first for me.

Really awesome location and site plus an amazing host to boot. Chuck communicated regularly and even upgraded our tipi. THEN on day 2 an epic dust storm kicked up all afternoon. After we returned from a day at the Monument, we found everything buried in dust plus the wind was still whipping with no end in sight. Chuck came right up to check on us and we decided to head for the Mariott! We aren’t wimpy campers, so it was a sad decision. Chuck refunded the remainder of our trip. We would definitely camp here again and recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful Views Tipi
Very friendly host who we saw at arrival then were left to ourselves. The tipi was a great first night of a weeklong family road trip. No one else used his land and the site was a long way from his home and totally private. Great elevated rocks for taking in the view and sunset.

I absolutely loved my stay at Charles's Land Tipi! Charles clearly really cares about his guests having the best experience. The Tipi is lovely and so well made and maintained. The grill and the fire pit and the little lights were all such a great touch. Charles was super helpful at helping me get to the right place and going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. I will definitely be staying again!

What a fun experience in a beautiful and secluded location. The tipi was much more spacious than we expected. In the heat of the afternoon we enjoyed retreating into the cool of the tipi. I would recommend earplugs for windy nights as the logs rub against each other and sound like animals trying to scratch their way in. Also, note that there is no water at the campsite, so bring a large jug. Due to the narrow and windy road, a car is preferable over walking/biking to access the great hiking and biking trails nearby.

The campsite was excellent. My son and I stayed there a night on a cross-county road trip and it worked out perfectly. Amazing stars gazing at night and a beautiful sunrise. Planning on bringing my wife back at some point. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Views Tipi
Very Kind Host, Great communication. He let us know it was pouring rain and recommended we not camp there our 1st night. He cleaned everything up really well and notified us when it was ready the next day! He even brought water up to us on his ATV, and checked to make sure we were all OK! Lovely quiet location. Great hike close by to the Mica mine. Ribbon Trail was also easily accessible for mountain biking. Campsite which was nice. 😊

Gorgeous Tipi
It was a very nice experience for my 4 boys , wife , and I. My youngest son”The outdoorsmen was so excited to sleep in a real tipi. The trip was all around fantastic.

We absolutely loved this spot! We slept in a big teepee on the top of a mesa with gorgeous views all around. The toilets were really clean and the camping shower worked great. Our host was extremely kind and even brought us eggs and elk sausage! All around a wonderful experience.

Despite booking on short notice, Charles ensured a seamless arrival experience. Situated just outside of Grand Junction, the campsite is easily accessible via a scenic drive along a beautiful drive into the mountains, setting the stage for a relaxing retreat amidst nature. Although I didn’t end up staying the night due to a timely drive, I will most definitely be coming back to stay.
