Nestled within five beautifully fenced and gated acres. Secluded and surrounded by a serene year-round running creek with swimming holes and mature oak trees. Our camp sites offer ample shade and tranquility. Near to the lovely, quaint and historical mining towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City. These cute little downtowns boast several unique boutique shops, local wine tasting, theaters, festivals and more. We are also near to the Yuba River, Lake Englebright, Scotts Flat Lake, several hiking trails, rafting, fishing, museums and the famous Nevada County Fair. Plus so many other sites and activities! Another bonus, just 1.5 hour scenic drive to North Lake Tahoe! Our amenities include an indoor restroom area where you will also find water shoes, natural bug sprays, sunscreen and a large sink for washing dishes. Hot tub, seasonal pool (May-Oct) area w/ seating and a Ninja electric pellet BBQ. Gazebo covered decks, two propane firepits (wood burning fires not permitted). Bluetooth speakers, solar lighting all around property, cornhole, kiddy play area, several coolers for drinks and food. Sand beach equipped with toys, seasonal paddle boards, water floats, kayaks. Additional conveniences include a new “Welcome Shed” supplied with all your camp cooking needs as well as cold/hot water dispenser, Keureg with coffee pods/creamer, hot cocoa, cold drinks and games. **Adjacent to bell tent; outdoor dry flush toilet, outdoor hot shower w/ Celtic Rose Apothecary soups and body cream. For those guests camping with furry companions we offer doggie life jackets in various sizes, treats, water toys, towels and doggie bath area with organic oatmeal soothing shampoo. Please note that while we strive to maintain your privacy, the property owners and their furry companions reside on-site and may occasionally be visible to guests. Therefore, we cannot accommodate campers with reactive or aggressive dogs. We also suggest only booking if your dog(s) have a good recall. Our furry friends are friendly to all, but we prioritize safety and cannot permit any aggression issues from reactive dogs. Keep in mind when booking, we ask you to show respect for the environment and our property. We do not allow large groups or parties of any kind on our site unless prearranged with owner.

**New 20ft Whiteduck Avalon Bell tent has replaced the smaller bell tent*** Beautifully set along the gentle flowing creekside with direct access to beach and all the water amenities. Our new 20 ft bell tent is well placed on a new large deck with gazebo and comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. It is spacious and beautifully furnished. Including a king Tempur-Pedic mattress with cozy pillows, blankets and linens. Towels also provided. 2 night stands, 2 Kilos Gear AeroCloud camp sleeping mats, 2 doggie beds, electric fireplace for heating cool nights, night time lighting, cozy rugs. Gazebo deck with comfy seating, blankets, propane firepit (propane extra fee), Yeti cooler and storage bin. ***In addition to the 20ft bell tent, we have added a new Whiteduck Scout tent that can be booked as an extra if you are booking for over 6 guests*** This tent sleeps up to 4 guests and is lightly furnished with 4 camp sleep memory foam mats, a chair, night table, lamp, rug, pillows and blankets. Also includes its own deck with seating and a firepit (Scout tent and propane extra fee). Adjacent to the bell tent deck are two new covered stalls; one with a Modiwell dry flush toilet and the other with a Rinse Kit propane hot shower/changing area supplied with Celtic Rose Apothecary soaps and body cream. Tents/decks are located just a short walk to the pool/hot tub with seating and Ninja electric pellet bbq. Also the main bathroom area where there are water shoes, sunscreen, first aid kits and a large sink to wash dishes. Our new "Welcome Shed" is also fully stocked; small fridge with cold drinks, hot/cold water dispenser, Keurig with coffee pods/creamer, several cook and serve ware options for all your camp cooking needs, camp stove (Butane can extra fee), Coleman camp prep table, several playing cards and game options. Our new smaller option for reservations of up to 2 guests, a Whiteduck Scout tent! Hear the tranquil sound of the running creek from this site. This reservation sleeps up to 2 guests and is also on a deck located creekside. You will have a lovely view of the small waterfall located up creek as well as looking down creek. Sunset scene and star gazing from this deck is spectacular on a clear night! Often sightings such as deer, fish, crawfish and otters noted. Additional great location for bird watching. The tent is lightly furnished with 4 cozy memory foam camp sleep mats, Aztec Anifurry camp chair with tray, night table, lamp, rug. This was the most fun quick getaway for our families! Exactly as described, beautifully maintained property, incredible hosts. High end blankets and towels, very clean dry flush toilet, and so many cozy seating options. My kids loved the welcome shed, and there were too many thoughtful personal touches to mention. The location is incredible. we explored grass Valley and Nevada city, both had a great selection of well appointed shops and restaurants and were less than a 15 minute drive from the property. We can’t wait to come back in the summer!

This was my third time here and the site continues to get better. The second toilet they added is top notch as well as the outdoor shower. Can't wait to see how it continues to evolve. Will definitely be back, again!

We had an amazing time at this Hipcamp! The place was beautiful and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend getaway. We did BBQ, relaxed in the hot tub, and even went kayaking — it was such a fun and peaceful experience. The host was super friendly and made sure everything was well set up for us. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with friends!

PVCR Creeskside Bell Tent Camping
We had a very disappointing experience at this site. The property is right next to Highway 20 and backs onto a self-storage facility, with constant road noise that the host dismissed as “the road noise isn’t that loud.” When we raised concerns, the response was condescending and dismissive of our sensitivities. More troubling, on the day of arrival we were told the toilet wasn’t working and were instructed to “use the creek” instead. This is completely inappropriate, unsafe, and against Hipcamp’s own “leave no trace” principles. The creek was also meant as a play area for our dogs, making this suggestion even more unacceptable. Safety was another concern: the camp has very poor lighting, which posed real risks for elderly guests and anyone with vision difficulties. Overall, between the misrepresentation of the property, the noise, the lack of proper facilities, and the dismissive attitude of the host, this was not a welcoming or prepared environment. We left after only a short time and would not recommend this site.

We had a very disappointing experience at this site. When we raised concerns, the response was condescending and dismissive of our experience instead of working towards a mutually agreeable solution. I also believe this should be mentioned in the listing; if it was, I wouldn't have chosen it at all. More troubling, on the day of arrival we were told the toilet wasn’t working and were instructed to “use the creek” instead. This is completely inappropriate, unsafe, and against Hipcamp’s own “leave no trace” principles. The creek was also meant as a play area for our dogs, making this suggestion even more unacceptable. We managed to make the toilet work intermittently; nonetheless, the solution should never be to use a water source. Safety was another concern: the camp has very poor lighting, which posed real risks for my 65 year old mom and anyone with vision difficulties. Overall, between the noise, the lack of proper facilities, and particularly the dismissive attitude of the host, this was not a welcoming or prepared environment. We left after only a short time and would not recommend this site.

This was my favorite hipcamp experience so far! There are so many small details that made a big difference: toys and treats for the dogs, paddleboards for everyone to play and lounge on, sunscreen and towels, a very comfortable bed and senior dog approved dog beds, the list goes on! It was the perfect way to spend a hot summer weekend and we can't wait to come back to this little paradise on the creek.

Fun and relaxing little spot with all entertainment you and your pup could need. Enjoy floating and splashing in the creek, lawn games or just sitting by the propane fire pit. We had a great time with my elderly dog playing and napping. Access to the bathroom is in host's garage, so you are basically in their back yard, but they gave us our privacy and every detail was thought of. There is also a little road noise so if you are looking for silence and solitude this may not be the place you're looking for. We didn't mind and much appreciated everything that was provided making our stay easy and relaxing!

This is perfect for a weekend getaway with your dogs and the hosts have everything perfectly setup for you. Just bring food/drinks (+ personal items) and doubt you would need much else. The electric grill has grill/smoke/bake/reheat/etc functions which offer a wide range of easy meal options. Or make it really easy and go to some of the nearby restaurants, options range from fine dining to burgers. Berries grow along the creek (would be great for pancakes!) where we spent most of our day. The luxury of 2 stand up paddle boards, a kayak, plus other large floaties was like no other vacation rental we’ve stayed. I don’t think we’d change a thing…

The space was thoughtfully decorated and we had a really good stay here with our pups! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The private creek area was very nice and they provided a kayak and paddle board for us to use.

I hesitant to write such a public glowing review, because I secretly want to keep this gem all to myself. However, this place is the absolute BEST, and you would be remiss if you didn’t check it out! The creek is flowing all year round, which means you don’t have to worry about any toxic algae (I big concern of mine). They have paddle boards and a kayak and several dog docks, all setup and ready for your enjoyment. The upgraded tent is huge and it has a real bed with a nice mattress. Waking up to the sounds of the creek is so peaceful. There are toys everywhere and lots of room for your dog to play and roam. Plus, you’re within 1/2 an hour of great hiking trails and swimming spots. This was my second time staying here and I can’t wait to return! 100000% recommend.

Our trip was amazing. Great spot right next to the river. I challenge you to find scenario they are not prepared for. They had everything: sun screen, river shoes, a grill, Bluetooth speakers, towels, mosquito spray, a pool with floaties, you really just have to pack food and drinks!

Like a dogs personal paradise, dog bowls and beds and blankets and toys. The clean flowing river was a treat to the ears and the eyes. Tanya’s place is peaceful and we loved sitting out by the propane fire pit every night talking and looking at the stars

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary out here. The owners are both super friendly and were ready to help when needed. Beautiful camping spot with fun games / activities. Their dogs were a fun touch too, we highly recommend staying!

This was my first time “glamping”…(my dog and I always tent camp or backpack…) so let me tell you this place was AHHHMAZING! Everything was magical and perfect! My dog was in the creek the entire day. The creek was clear and had some cute cascade falls! There was so much space for him to run around on the land! There were dog beds, dog toys, dog bowls and dog happiness everywhere. As for me…it was relaxing lounge chairs by the water…so many places to sit, fun games and twinkle lights! There is a pool to jump in and a deck to relax on . At night you can enjoy a fire and enjoy the stars . The bell tent was so inviting and so cute inside with a comfy bed ! The hosts really thought of everything! They were so nice and welcoming! My pup did not want to leave! Thank you so much Tanya and Richard for everything. You made my birthday perfect! Axman and I will definitely be back!

Perfect Spot On the Creek!

10000% would recommend this place! Absolutely amazing in every regard. I stayed one night with my dog and we had a blast. The hosts have thought of everything and they go above and beyond to ensure all of your needs are met. The site is exactly as pictured. Seems too good to be true but it’s not! Can’t wait to return again, again, and again!

The perfect getaway!

We were blown away by how above and beyond Tanya goes to make her guests feel welcome. The property is filled with literally everything you could ever need (towels, sunscreen, dog toys, drinkable water, kayak, etc. etc). The tent itself was very tastefully decorated and homey. She is incredibly responsive and kind. We also weren't expecting a pool so that was such a nice surprise! I would highly recommend to any nature lover, especially if you have a dog! No complaints at all.

Creekside Playland

Tanya has outdone herself with this area - what a playland! There is anything you can imagine when it comes to water toys, dog toys, SO much space to play, the creek and the pool, and the tent is absolutely adorable. She's really thought of everything to make her guests feel very comfortable and ready to have fun !

We loved glamping here! My son had the best time. Communication, location and directions were spot on. We had complete privacy with a creek and everything you can think of. Just wish we had more time! Definitely don't hesitate to book.

We had the most wonderful 2 days at Tanya’s. She is most welcoming hostess and this place is dog heaven. I was a Mom traveling alone with my daughter and a Frenchie so safety was top priority. This place is so serene and safe. It has everything a kid or dog could want. The tent is so thoughtfully decorated and comfortable. The creek was wonderful for swimming and playing. Huge bonus of not needing to bring all the camping gear like chairs, tents etc. so it made it an easy stress free trip. We will be back! Thank you!
