Glamping, not so glamourous.
My family and I made some great memories. We enjoyed the peace and quiet under the stars. The day bed was cozy, I napped there a couple of times during sunrise, (beautiful red pink skies) and during sunset(beautiful hues of purple and pink) the deck was the place to chill pretty much. My kid swung every day, humming her favorite songs. If I brought my tent I would have set it up on the deck. The fire pit was fun to hang around at night. There’s access to a shower, bathtub and outdoor shower. On my last night we couldn’t get the hot water to run.
I noticed gnats hanging out on the windows of the bathroom and bedroom since day 1. I’m not sure if it’s due to the swamp cooler? They weren’t fruit flies, they only hung out on the windows. But we never left the door open, and the windows have screens, so I’m not sure where they came from. They didn’t bother me, but this is definitely something I wasn’t very thrilled about.
This place could use remodeling, bug/pest control, and upgrades.
In my honest opinion, it has a lot of potential to be perfect. Because we still enjoyed ourselves and the memories w created on the deck, access to a toilet/shower (i will give it another try if the above things were taken care of) if you don’t care for any of the issues I mentioned above, definitely book. We booked in November, weather is on the cooler side. Which I definitely enjoyed.
