Near Petrified Forest National Park

Within a 60-minute drive from the Rainbow Forest Museum.

Several different properties to choose from. .5 to 2 acres. One lot with 8 foot chain length fence, next to our house. All fended. Dogs and horses ok, additional fees for horses. All transportation papers required. Call a head if you have horses. There is an all American feed store in Concho. ThanksWe are located in remote area of Concho AZ, you can park and camp in our lot behind a office off Highway 61 and 180A. It is a dirt lot for now we plan to make it nicer depending on the need. We are a short cut between Colorado and Phoenix. We do have water but you will have to have along hose. We are close to petrified forest.

The Hostess is a Gem!!

When we got to Tracy’s, the hostess’, Hipcamp location, she showed us a few options for camping. We were not actually campers, just traveling through for one night on our way to the Petrified Forest. We were her very first campers, and she was so, so accommodating. We stayed at the carport at her husband’s office, and it was all we needed. It was perfect for us. Having said that, and although they own lots of land, based on our stay, I would suggest that this is not a recreation area unto itself, but rather a location from which to find recreation areas. For us, it was only 35 minutes from the Petrified Forest, so again it was perfect. And finally, the hostess is a gem of a human being, so lovely and accommodating, and I would highly recommend her Hipcamp for any traveler looking for a safe overnight for their travels.
