We have a beautiful 2 acre fully gravelled area to easily park your rig, up to 45 ft RV recommended. Access to home in residential property is a dirt road, but easily accessible. Property is quiet, safe and peaceful. It’s like being in the country but you still have fantastic cell service! We have room to store up to 4 horses with our mare motels as well as an 100x300 arena right on the property. Fully fenced. Outhouse on sight if you are spending the day working with your horses and don’t want to dirty your RV. Furry friends are welcome as long as you don’t leave them unattended as we have coyotes roaming as well. Close to all amenities, 15 min to Cave Creek, 30 min to Scottsdale, 40 min to Phoenix. Nelles ranch was a once busy horse training facility owned by legendary Larry Nelles and his beautiful wife Louise, now retired we have opened our space to see others thrive with their horses and use the space that we no longer can! 15min to Cave Creek, 30min to Scottsdale, 40min to Phoenix

Wildlife surprise...

Your camping in the backyard of a house on a 2 acre plot. Although it appears to be suburban and the lot is walled/fenced on three sides there is an astonishing amount of wildlife here. Flocks of doves, coveys of quail, tons of rabbits, other birds and we could hear coyotes every morning. The Suarouro (sp?) Cactus are really impressive if you've never been right up close to one. Our stay was quiet and peaceful, and Louise let me park the sprinter under the shade next to the corral... That was huge for keeping the van cool in 105 Phoenix weather. Thank you for that. The place is 20min from Mayo Clinc so we will definitely be back. And yes... we got a fantastic loaf of homemade bread.

Very welcoming reception. Louise has got a big terrain. It is quiet and fully hook up is available. Louise is a very good host, respects your privacy. As a welcome gift she brought us home made cheese cake, so nice. Would definitely stay again.

Louise’s property is delightful: located in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by desert shrubs and cactus. Birds and an occasional desert rabbit entertain during the day and the coyotes sing just after sunset most evenings. The area is very safe and scenic with ample shopping nearby. Louise is an excellent host and the property easily accommodated our truck and 34’ fifth wheel. We enjoyed our trip and look forward to returning.

The site was a perfect location for us while visiting a friend in Scottsdale. Not a typical campsite, it is next to the host’s house, but works well as a home base for sightseeing. We were grateful for the electrical hookup which we had not anticipated. After a slight misunderstanding about where to set up our trailer, Louise did her best to be accommodating.

We stayed at Nelles Ranch with our 33ft fifth wheel. The map directions were easy to follow and got us there with no issues. Be aware its down dirt roads but in town really cool area with lots of space. We got parked and set up quite easily. Louise is a wonderful hostess and even brought us fresh baked muffins! The hookups were definitely welcome after weeks of off-grid camping. We would definitely stay again.

Louise is incredibly nice and welcoming. She has full hookups (I have 30amp and that’s what she had for me, I don’t know if she has 50amp). You are located in a neighborhood that has dirt roads, so be ok with dust driving in and out. Very quiet except at sundown when the coyotes and other animal howl for a bit but I heard that in a few other camping spots outside of Phoenix and nothing to fear. Definitely recommend

Louise is a great host! She’s very welcoming and friendly. She even helped me back my trailer! This is such a tranquil setting, with lots of shopping nearby including a target just 2 minutes away. I definitely recommend staying here.
