Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Your 1b, 1ba charming forest cottage comes with Free Wi-Fi and it's fully stocked with all basic amenities like, soaps, toothpaste, towels, dishes, silverware, pots & pans, a few spices, sugar, coffee, hot chocolate and includes a dual-heated (his/hers), King bed and a pellet stove with a backup gas heater. At The Cottage, you will not be in a suburban or semi-rural neighborhood. You’ll be staying far from local cities. This is a free-standing, remote, deep-in-the forest place with a gorgeous view of the famous Spring Valley and mountain views of Mt. Sitgreaves. Walking, hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing start at your door. The Cottage is nestled in 40ft-75ft pines, the perfect place for a weekend getaway deep in the Kaibab National Forest. Whether you’re looking to beat the heat of The Valley, Havasu, Tucson, So California or Vegas, or for a serene trip, a romantic getaway, or an adventure vacation, or even a honeymoon, this is the place. You'll love the "no air conditioning needed" comfort of The Cottage. This property was initially developed in 1990 by the Wrigley Family... Wrigley Field (Chicago Cubs), Wrigley Chewing Gum. Known by legacy as “The Wrigley Ranch,” it’s the last vestige of the once incredibly expansive, former land holding of one of America's most prestigious families. Horseback Riding available on site, guided or unguided riding right here all year 'round! Also Target Shooting and 4wd Tours are usually available March 15 - Nov 15! (Weather restrictions may apply. Add'l costs apply. Visa, MC, Cash on site.) Friendly dogs welcome. Walk freely on our 10 acre property plus its add’l fenced forest land or just head out onto walking/ski trails to Spring Valley Tank. Fishing at local lakes most Spring, Summer and Fall. Many lakes are nearby in Williams including Cataract, Kaibab, Dogtown and White Horse lakes. Grand Canyon is only 60 miles due North. This is a NO SMOKING COTTAGE indoors. OUTDOOR SMOKING AREA. PROPANE/GAS BBQ AVAILABLE ALONGSIDE WOOD BURNING BBQ. OPEN FIRE PIT if BURNING is OK. Horseback riding is usually available year ‘round, limited by weather and ground conditions (mud/snow).Most of the year, just 60 miles due N to the Grand Canyon. This property features an incredibly beautiful 3-tiered setting with lots and lots of character including rock outcroppings and huge pines, many of which are old-growth pines. Plenty of shade with cool afternoon and evening breezes during the hottest summer days (85F). Snow covered trees in winter accentuate a winter wonderland from late Nov thru March. Star gaze in our pastures with the horses! Gather your own eggs from the chicken coop. Take the goats for a walk! Sit by your campfire and listen to the breeze in the trees. Horseback Riding, Target Shooting and 4WD Tours right on site. Visa/MC accepted here for all ancillary activities. Walk, hike, or bike the whole entire forest from here, its mountains and their vistas, the prairies and the meadows. From here, two ponds with ducks sit at the Southern tip of the property which is the virtual starting point of the expansive meadows of the Spring Valley. Mt. Sitgreaves (9,400ft) sits immediately to the West. Its foothills are only about a mile away! Government Hill and Spring Valley Knoll are immediately adjacent, accessible just off property through a "rancher's gate" that coincidentally connects to the Spring Valley Cross Country Ski Trail. Private, off street parking right at your door. DirecTV with HDTV. Pellet stove for winter stays keeps the cabin toasty even during the coldest nights and days! Wall heater backup. Open or crack the windows for beautiful, cooling breezes nearly every day of summer. Elk, deer and an occasional antelope visit the property regularly, except in the heart of winter. Fire pit/BBQ and propane BBQ with adjacent chairs and a picnic table just outside your door. Fire roads and trails are virtually everywhere around us. Check snowpack. You might want to bring your snowmobiles, cross-country or downhill skis, snowshoes, discs, sleds and/or toboggans in Winter months. Fun places everywhere you turn: Bearizona, Deer Farm, Grand Canyon Railway, & Canyon Coaster just to our West! The Edge of the World, Sycamore Falls, White Horse & Dogtown Lakes! Meteor Crater, Petrified Forest, Sunset Crater Volcano, Walnut Canyon, Sedona, Lava River Cave, Havasupai Turquoise Falls, Chocolate Falls, Flagstaff Arboretum, & More. All nearby!
