I felt save and my host were close by
Not on the spot but the weather was cloudy and drab.. which ran my solar battery down.
Of course having a plug in would have been helpful
I was rested and felt refreshed as I cruised down the road

Jane and her husband were very gracious hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. When our plans changed they were equally accommodating.
The property is very nice and open, and the horses and neighboring animals were a nice bonus.
Would highly recommend!

I had a much needed rest it's a great spot nice cold water coming out of the sprinklers felt good after a long day cycling Sara even put me up in a trailer with AC no extra charge I wound up staying 3 night's got rehydrated and cooled off for the next leg of the trip will definitely be staying with them again

really nice, simple place. We got to learn a little bit about the animals in the area and felt really respected as guests. Awesome communication. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing stay! The space was perfect for our dogs to play, and it was a joy waking up to walk the property and greet all the farm animals. I would definitely recommend to anyone passing through the desert, this green grass oasis will offer a cool escape.

PROS: If you're traveling with a dog, this is an excellent choice with ample room to run & play.
CONS: The actual camping area is very dusty, the water dispensing station was inoperative, and access to the property is a bit of a hassle due to the dual locked/latched gates.

We absolutely loved Gambel Field! It was perfect for us and our two dogs. And our son and girlfriend and their dog joined us the second night. Jane responded quickly to any questions I had. We didn’t get to meet her, as she happened to be out of town when we were there, but Mark took good care of us! He came out to greet us and answer any questions.
We were the only ones there our first two nights, then another camper came our last night, but the area was so roomy she was clear across on the other side. Friendly too, we introduced our dogs and they even got to play for a bit.
The land was very well kept, we enjoyed having the fire ring and picnic table and the beautiful solar lights. We also loved walking over to say hi to the neighbors animals (donkey, horse, cows😊). If we come through the area again, we would definitely stay here… it was perfect and peaceful!

The field was lovely and private. We were the only ones there. The porta potties were not quite up to cleanliness, thoough. I think the main reason may have been the timing of our visit. I’d give it another chance.

Jane was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. We are horse transporters but were empty at the time. However, Jane showed us beautiful stalls for when we're running through and need a layover. Definitely a layover if you have horses.

My stay at Jane & Mark’s campsite was the perfect experience for me and my doggie Yobi. Beautiful sunrise and sunset, lots of trees to provide shade from the sun, plenty of space to move about, and to let my Yobi run around the totally fenced in field/property.
Jane & Mark are very kind, caring, and thoughtful individuals. They both went above and beyond to make my, and Yobi’s stay an amazing experience.

The campgrounds were amazing! You can clearly see the stars at night and the sunrise is beautiful! Everything was smooth with the check-in, I will be going back if I’m ever in the area again

Jane’s land was great, far enough away from the highway to feel secluded but close enough for travelers to get back on the road easily. Appreciated the locked gate, covered camping spots and her hospitality.

Big wide open fenced in space for the dog to run! Property was very clean and quiet. (We were the only campers this night. ) Porta potties and nice picnic tables . Hosts were super friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely area to camp! Wide open space surrounded by rolling terrain, desert vegetation, and mountain views -- with occasional visits by two friendly horses. I set up camp by some trees, explored the field with the dogs, and enjoyed watching the dramatic sunsets from a chair by my van. After dark, hundreds of solar lamps begin to glow along the fence line, like you're camping in fairy country. I didn't use the picnic tables, benches, portapotties, or hand washing stations, but how nice to have them available. Plenty of room here for a group camping event, but also nice to enjoy by yourself. AT&T signal a bit better than Verizon. Easy to find, but last mile is on washboard roads through a neighborhood, so go slow. Jane was a helpful and respectful host. Definitely recommend :-)

Great spot near tonopah az. I was rockhounding the he saddle mountain blm land and this was a he perfect spot to relax after a day in the sun. Toilets and hand wash station. I was the only camper there last night and Jane came out to meet me on the way in as I arrived late. Very secure property that is well maintained. This was my first hip camp stay and it was perfect!
