Welcome to the manifestation of our dreams: Juniper Moon Grove! We abandoned city life to create a sanctuary where people can come for tranquility, self reflection and to develop a deeper connection with nature. We’re located on 8.6 wooded acres in the small Kentucky town of Ewing, perfectly situated between historic Paris, KY and Maysville, KY (30 minutes in either direction). The Space: Cabin – This is an Amish-built 12’ x 14’ space with a 6’ covered porch and can ONLY accommodate 2 people. The cabin is equipped with a queen-size bed dressed with fresh linens and a coffee/tea bar. We also provide filtered drinking water. Pavilion (The Sanctuary) – This is a 14’ x 20’ pavilion outfitted with seating and enough space for yoga in the forest (two yoga mats provided). This is the perfect space for your morning coffee or an evening cocktail/mocktail. Bathroom – Not all outhouses are built the same. We built a cedar outhouse complete with a compost toilet located just outside the cabin. It’s simple – after you go #1, put 1 scoop of saw dust. 2-3 scoops for poops. Outdoor shower - there’s an outdoor shower with hot water! Towels, wash clothes, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. Fire pit – There is a fire pit area with seating for four in front of the cabin. Please do not bring your own fire wood. If you would like to purchase firewood, it's $10 per bundle or $25 for an unlimited amount during your stay. Tree Weave – Artists from Asheville, NC built a 3-level tree net just a short (but steep) hike from the pavilion. We invite you to explore and hang out on the tree weave, but please NO SHOES AND NO JUMPING. This is a functional piece of art and we ask that you respect it. Anyone who does not respect this art will be asked to leave. Cooking – There’s a picnic table and propane cooking griddle with basic utensils. Please bring everything you’d need to prepare meals: cooler, food, specialty utensils, spices, etc. We live in a rural area and don’t have many food establishments within a 20-minute radius. PLEASE NO COOKING IN CABIN! Hiking Trails – We built ~.5 miles of hiking trails in the forest for you to explore. Please stay on the trails to ensure you don’t wander on to someone else’s property. Hike at your own risk! This is a cabin in the woods. You WILL experience bugs: mosquitoes, flies, bees, spiders, ants, ticks, etc. We do provide bug spray and recommend to stay on the trails to avoid ticks and poison ivy. 1. We ask that you don't wear your shoes in the cabin or on the tree weave. This is a mini farm in nature - Things get muddy and we try to keep things clean for the guests. Thanks in advance! 2. No shoes or jumping on Tree Weave. 3. No cooking inside the cabin. An outdoor grill is provided. 4. No smoking (or vaping) in cabin. 5. No dogs - we have free-range chickens, goats, cats, and a dog, so we want to avoid any pet altercations. 6. Most Importantly... Have fun!
