My tent site had its own covered area so in the morning, when it was raining, i could still come out and do yoga. What a joy to have a spiritual practice in the rain but protected. The location is very convenient. I was very near the bathroom and potable water. In the morning I enjoyed a chat with the owner, George, who had so many interesting things to share around the orchids and the island. I was able to visit the lava tube, a surprising treat.
An awesome place to camp! We made instant friends with all the staff everyone was so kind and friendly. It was beautiful surroundings and the covered tent areas are awesome as we did get a bit of rain. Great kitchen area to cook meals and the cutest, sweetest dogs to greet you! We will definitely camp there again!
What a great place to camp especially if you like being covered from the rain, a kitchen and hot showers and safety! It’s a fabulous way to stay long term and not far from the bus station making it easy to get around the island. All the people were helpful and kind! We will be going back for sure!!
This was a cool spot and a good initial HipCamp experience. It was hard to tell from the map where the sites would be. We picked 3 and it was grouped at the top of the hill with the others - it looked like 4 was a little more separate, if you’re looking for a more private site. Fortunately, we had great neighbors who played some awesome campfire songs and were courteous about noise levels in the evening. Everything was very clean and well-kept, and having an open invite to explore the greenhouses was nice!
This was the best place we camped
I cannot say enough good things about I can not say enough good things about George and his orchid farm. He has hot showers, friendly workers and rain roofs above several of the campsites. One of the days we were there was very rainy and we were extremely appreciative of the protection from the rain. We also went into the farms miles long lava tunnel which was a great adventure. George also gave us a tour of his orchids and made suggestions of places to ride our bicycles to. I highly recommend staying here,
