It was the perfect fall getaway. Nice and quiet, clean campsites. Leslie was warm, inviting and accommodating. Great communication!! Will be back!!

Would definitely recommend this site. Peaceful and serene to camp there. The host was very friendly to chat with and made sure we were all set with electric and water. We were able to dump our RV which is always a plus.

Our second stay at Charles and Leslie's Serene Place was even more amazing than the first! From the moment we arrived, it felt like coming back to visit old friends. Charles and Leslie are truly incredible people—warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about sharing the beauty of their little slice of paradise.
The Hosts: Charles and Leslie’s hospitality is unmatched. They greeted us like family, making sure we had everything we needed for another unforgettable stay. Their kindness and attention to detail are what truly set them apart and make every visit feel special.
The Location: Serene Place continues to live up to its name. Nestled among the trees with the calming sounds of nature all around, it’s the perfect escape from the chaos of everyday life. The site was once again spotless and thoughtfully arranged, offering privacy and stunning views at every turn.

Overall this was a functional site, but had challenges on the placement of hookups requiring extra long hoses & cables. The site also requires leveling as the slope makes it difficult to hitch up. The hosts were very nice.

This place was great. However, I did wish there was a fire pit on site #2 and picnic table. We will be back and very much enjoyed our stay. Leslie and Charles were very nice and I will recommend this place to others.

We had a great time at this RV spot. The drive to get to the property was well-maintained and beautiful! The site itself was peaceful and true to its name. We saw a buck one evening go right in front of our camper. Leslie’s husband met us at the entrance to go over all the details and made sure we didn’t need anything. He was super friendly and gave us our privacy during our stay. Would stay here again!

I absolutely loved this campsite! My front yard was full of beautiful maple trees! The hosts were available if needed but graciously gave me my space. I had all the hookups I needed and the site was pretty level and easy to access! This location is 15-30 minutes away from many cute western NC towns!

Place was as described. Great fire pit very close to the woods. Host met us there upon arrival and gave us lay of the land. We stayed on a weekend it was super hot but we just moved our chairs under the trees. It was a good time at a very nice place. We would do it again.

Leslie was great meeting us late after a long day of travel. She was available to answer any questions we had while we were there. The spot was private, not near any of the other buildings in the area. WE weren't there long enough to see much in the area.

Very quiet area, nice open spot and setup for our RV. The host was there to meet us when we arrived, made sure we had everything we needed, checked in on us after a coupe of days to make sure we had settled in. If we venture back to the area we would be sure to stay there again. I would give it 5 Stars.

What an amazing spot! Full hook ups somewhere that quiet and private is a special treat. We were treated to seeing deer and bats in the evening while enjoying a campfire and the coyotes could be heard singing n the distance. We loved it!! It’s an easy drive to Asheville, wineries, breweries, Pisgah National Forrest and the Blue Ridge Trail.

Great site, great hosts....5 stars :). We have this marked for a return trip. This place is truly serene and close to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this beautiful camp site and area.

Beautiful country. Full hookups. Great fire pit includes wood. Easy access to area attractions. We recommend Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Lake Adger, the Flowering Bridge is a must see!! Many good hikes, breweries and winery

We have a 40’ Class A with Jeep. Site was easy to access and turn around. Hook ups were not a problem at all. Sewer was within one link of hose. There is a concrete pad to sit on and grill and relax. Water pressure was never a problem. We had two bars of AT&T service. Great walks down the gravel road and neighboring road. I wold definitely go back! Host were incredible. Five stars.

Truly SERENE like the name states. So nice to NOT stay in a traditional campground. I had about 2-3 acres to myself, which is not typical. Long views of the skies and mountains. Great AT&T cell overage for working remotely too.

Loved the place! A lot of space around you, but not totally desolate. Very accommodating hosts! Gravel surface is flat, no need to level. Full hookup, but sewer is on the other side from water, so you need a longer hose for one of them. 25 ft would work. Partially shared by trees. Relatively easy to back in (a lot of space to maneuver). Water is from tanks, but no chlorine odor. Firepit was great! We will certainly be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Camp Serene. So peaceful and quiet. Nice little spot tucked in the woods. Our only regret is we only stayed 1 night. Will DEFINITELY be back to see some of the local attractions, (Chimney Rock & Lake Lure). Try Flyboys pizza. It was GREAT!

Camp Serene explains it all. Smooth sailing from beginning to end. The directions were clear and brings you to a quiet peaceful corner of an area that's close to Lake Lure / Chimney Rock area... oh and I have family in that area.
Leslie and Charles are amazing hosts that have beautiful land that they are proud to share with others. They were super attentive to any of my needs. Will certainly be returning.

God knows we needed some tranquility, serenity, and peace in our hectic lives and Camp Serene was the perfect spot for what we needed. We will be back. Charles and Leslie were amazing hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camp Serene! Our camp hosts, Leslie and Charles were great and accommodating to our needs and even helped get us hooked up for our stay. The views and surrounding areas are beautiful and the camp site was clean and quiet. Would recommend again and we are planning another trip ASAP!

A very well-named place! You really don't hear much here other than the sound of the birds, the wind in the trees, and the crickets and frogs at night. It was just what I needed. The firepit is epic and the hookups are such a great touch. My RV's water hose broke and Leslie and Charles let me use a spare that they had. I had a great chat with Charles one morning as well. The ground peg for tethering your dog is great too. Lucie had lots of room to get around without me having to worry about her running off. A really nicely done operation all-in-all!

Very quiet and secluded spot off a residential side-road. Zero traffic noise. Relaxing and comfortable. Spot was level. Good water supply, electric, and sewer hook ups. Leslie met me at the site to show me around. Very welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Stayed at Camp Serene for three nights in mid November and had a great time. It was beautiful and quiet, the host was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed.
Full hookups are available, but water is from tanks onsite with lots of chlorine so bring your own drinking water.
Also, the camp site is not shaded so if you’re planing to camp during the summer make sure you bring your own shade

What a perfect getaway for the weekend! It was serene, pristine, and relaxing. The hosts were friendly and welcomed us as we arrived. The site has a great fire pit, and we saw deer each morning. The night sky was breathtaking.
Great for a couple to spend a little R&R together!
