Camping at The Bar offers stunning views and a spacious setup, making it a popular choice for both solo campers and groups. While the site boasts beautiful vistas and a unique bar area, some campers have noted the presence of abandoned equipment and a noticeable gas smell from a nearby crude oil tank. Despite the occasional noise from a distant 4x4 outfit, the site remains a favorite for its proximity to hiking trails and its ability to accommodate multiple tents. Visitors appreciate the clear directions and the clean porta potty, though some wish for more seclusion between the two campsites.

The Bar
My significant other and I really enjoyed tent camping at the Bar! The views were amazing, your far enough from the only other camping spot nearby to have privacy and the bar area gave it a unique factor. I would definitely recommend this to others, but there are a few things of note. There were a lot of, what looks like, abandoned grilling equipment, stray chairs and tables and some other things tucked into the corners of the camp. Also, my partner and I did get some smells of the gas previously mentioned by other reviewers. It was a fairly windy weekend, so we’re assuming if you go when there is no wind, you may smell it more. With all of that said, I honestly will be wanting to come back and rent out both spots with family or friends.

Loved camping at Top Shelf. The site was spacious and offered wonderful views of the sky and Gorge (the views at The Bar are even better). Directions getting there were crystal clear. Just be aware that there is a 4x4 outfit quite a ways down the road and, despite the distance, its noise traveled up in the evenings. Otherwise, it's perfectly located to get to lots of popular trails in the area quickly. We hope to be back!

The Bar
This site has the most gorgeous views. The property was clean and easy to access. The Bar was weathered and rustic which made the experience more outdoorsy authentic. I enjoyed it for the short amount of time I got to stay. The only thing that was a downer was that the the 2 sites are a little to close to be considered secluded. You can hear each sites conversations. But I do hope to be back again in the near future and bring a bunch more people.

Our 3rd stay. Still an amazing site. No clue why someone complained about an unbearable oil smell in a review, 3 times there never noticed it. Lot of ticks around the site this trip but that's the whole Gorge area, so pack the bug spray. Planning our next trip already. Can't beat the view.
