We are a high desert location so not many natural trees and greens right where we are however with each season we have planted more trees and created more green space. Our Mission & Story The YL Ranch is a welcoming and inclusive restorative guest ranch seeking to reestablish our connection to one another, community, nature, and the outdoors. Jock’s boyhood dream has always been to return to the ranch and share its special gifts with friends and guests from around the world. The YL Ranch has been in the Boyer family since 1905. Jock and Kimberly look forward to welcoming you with their own unique style of warm Wyoming hospitality. The YL is open year-round and can accommodate up to 25-30 guests in summer and 20 in winter. Nice place to stop! They grade the gravel very often, i stayed 1 night on the way up to Montana and 1 night on the way back. Both spots were almost perfectly level. Sure makes things nice when ur just quickly stopping for the night. Showers/bathrooms were nice and clean.

Weekend Trip to Boyer YL Ranch

We had the most incredible stay at Boyer YL Ranch in Wyoming! We stayed in the historic barn loft and it was absolutely magical—full of charm, peacefulness, and the perfect mix of rustic and comfortable. The host was so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our kids especially loved playing in the river just steps from the loft and discovering books in the little lending library. It felt like stepping into a slower, more beautiful way of life. We even saw a moose just steps from the barn! We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already planning our next visit. Couldn’t recommend it more—we will definitely be going back!

This is such a great place to camp when traveling on I-80 through Rawlins. I have stayed here several times and every time I have been very happy with my visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, the bathrooms and showers are clean and cutely decorated. I know I will stay here again when I come through the area.
