CAMPSITE IS LOCATED IN THE ORCHARD. Please do not enter the main farm driveway. If you are not looking at Apple trees you are in the wrong place. Pets need to be on a leash and cleaned up after. Please do not leave them out of the orchard. My grandfather purchased the property and everything you can see 360° around you in 1953. The orchard was started in 1962 and the large trees date back to that time and still produce apples. My dad took over in 1985 and it has been part of my life ever since. After my dads passing in 2017 the property fell to me. At it's peak there were 85 trees that produced 500 bushels of apples per season. All hand pruned, sprayed and picked. We sold them 5 days a week at local farmers markets. Currently, about two dozen trees are maintained, the rest feed the local wildlife. An orchard is a year round commitment. Enjoy your stay. ~Dale This is a small working family orchard. Sites are rustic. RV and trailers can park on grass or the driveway. Tents ⛺ can set up on the grass. Sites are not marked. HipCamp requires that I list them separately for reservation purposes. The location is not busy. Maybe one or two reservations a weekend in the summer. Pick a spot you are comfortable & enjoy your stay. One picnic table on site. One fire pit. Minutes from the Rock River for paddling and fishing. No bathroom on site. No water onsite. Tent Camping Site on Lake Mary’s Channel. Private place to pitch a couple tents, hammocks, enjoy a campfire, and most importantly enjoy access to Lake Mary & Lake Elizabeth via a short channel which is only steps from the door of your tent! The channel is shallow, while you cannot swim from the campsite to the lake you can easily launch kayaks and after 850ft of paddling you are out on Lake Mary! 15minute safe sidewalk or quiet neighborhood road walk to Lance Park from camping site. The park also has ample parking. Drive time from camping site to the park is only 2minutes! Lance Park has a wonderful pubic beach swimming area. The water quality of Lake Mary is amazing with great clarity and no algae or seaweed growth. It also has a public boat launch. The park also hosts the “AquaNut” Water Show every Wednesday and Saturday nights in the summer! Lance Park also has a clean and very large handicap accessible porta potty that can be used 24/7. Twin Lakes has a cute Main Street with lots of fun to be had. There are also several restaurant/bars on Lake Mary or Lake Elizabeth. Lake Elizabeth can be accessed by a small waterway that connects the lakes. Kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes can easily float under a lower foot and car bridge. Larger and taller motorized boats cannot move between lakes. This camping site offers such a fun and inexpensive way to get outdoors this summer!

Offering a great little spot to overnight as a rest area between Chicago and Milwaukee only 2 miles off of 294. Nothing special but a low cost option to park and relax. Do have a donkey and peacocks that can make noise and do have morning traffic, but the area is indeed rural and the property is relaxing. Site is close to house but our property is your property during your stay.

Great place with very accommodating folks running it. We are stayed twice, once in the spring and once in the fall. It is very beautiful in the spring while everything is in bloom. Nice private area off the beaten path. We will definitely stay again.

First impression I thought I was lost, that’s the point right? Very responsive to communication and flexible. Escorted by farm tractor to location, let me see different sights to pick from. I picked tucked in the woods for some seclusion. Brought my two dogs and they loved running in the 3 different fields close by, we even visited the goats multiple times to give them some weeds. 2 other sites were being used but you would never know it. Would visit again for a quick getaway.

My family and I had an awesome time camping at Steve’s thoughtfully laid out campground. The ground was soft and level so the tents were super comfy. Lots of seating on stumps surrounding a clean fire pit. Watching the moon reflect on the water was magical!

Steve’s campsite was a lovely quiet spot that was private enough that we felt comfortable sleeping in the tent without the cover up. It was really peaceful and the trees covering the spot made it very secluded despite being in a neighborhood! Steve was very responsive and attentive as a host. 11/10 would stay there again!

I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We were just starting to get to know our neighbors- the goats and chickens, Bard owls, coyotes, and the usual suspects - Jays, cardinals, chickadees, and the eastern peewee. The property is beautiful. You can choose sites that are more remote or in fields with mature pines and open skies for star gazing. The place is located between Racine and Kenosha - an abundance of good restaurants, taverns and resale shops. Also good to note that the “big” lake is a 5 minute drive. Beaches and parks nearby, if you choose to picnic or go for a swim. All in all, a beautiful visit. Enough to decompress before we head back to the busyness of life. Thank you for sharing your property with us, Ron. We wish you well, we wish you happiness, and we wish you peace.

We had an outstanding last minute holiday weekend at Ron’s land. Ron was very hospitable and his land is gorgeous. Very nicely groomed walking paths and we met some of the friendliest goats ever on his farm. We can’t wait to return again in the future.

Weekend Trip to Private Lake Mary Channel Camping

This spot is perfect for a one tent camp. You could tell the owner put a lot of work into this spot. The two dogs we brought did really well off leash and loved diving off the docks at Lake Mary. Check out Cup of Joe in town for good coffee. Make sure to bring your kayaks ( we did not ) as the little creek does take you straight to the lake. Lastly this spot is hidden within a neighborhood just as an fyi, but I definitely think it’s worth trying out.

If you’re looking for a safe camping area near Oconomowoc, WI in town of Ixonia…I highly recommend this spot! Family members are so nice, camping spots are country living with no amenities other than wildlife viewing! Been back twice already & plan to come again down the road!

Ron's place was perfect. Felt like I was back home in Ohio camping with my buddies. The different camp sites are nice and secluded, but it's also nice knowing you're on Ron's land — you got a little community there. And the goats! Superb goats. 10/10 would go again.

We had a wonderful time at Auch Farm! The campsites are beautifully spread out across a scenic mix of grassy lawns, wooded groves, and a flower-filled marsh. The owners were warm and welcoming, even giving us a personal tour. We loved exploring the property’s trails, visiting the animals, and enjoyed fresh farm eggs during our stay. Evenings were magical with fireflies and starry skies. A truly peaceful retreat—we’d gladly come back!
