Tiny Cabin

Our tiny cabin is located right next to our main cabin home with it's own private entrance on the sweet French Island, WI community. There is parking available directly behind it on the street. There is a fold-out bed on the bottom level and a small bed on the upper loft. There is a ladder up to the loft. There is a full wood stove on the lower level as well. There is a full shared bathroom available in the main house between 8-9:30pm and 8-9:30am.

Aasen Family Farm Pond

Once owned by my husband's grandfather who built a house near a natural spring. We now have built a home on this property and offer beautiful water views with campsite hook ups. Campfires, Swimming and fishing without the need of a licence. Poles available and bait at no cost.  Enjoy the Tremp County bike trails and their scenic views. Be sure to check out their website. Our campsites are located next to our beautiful home. Enjoy the views of our ponds. You share our yard, we have 3 dogs who can't reach your area.  The sunsets are incredible and the sounds of frogs at night are dreamy.

Great for the kids. We have 3 tents this size that can be set up for additional cost.

We have always loved camping so when we purchased our place 12 years ago we set out to make this a place to come and get inspired to grow . We have added a small Garden Shop to the property and my husband loves to play music around the campfire so we decided to share the love by offering camping and fishing on our Property . You can be sure that this quiet area will be just what your looking for if you want to camp in the country and enjoy a bit of the farm Style Living . We invite you to collect the eggs from the coop and enjoy the fresh flavors of the season. We also offer a wide variety of workshops at our small Garden Center like Wreath Succulent Making with Friends. If you would like you can ask to schedule a Canning and preserving session with our lifestyle Expert Arlena Schott. The option is always there to take a drive to our Daughter and Son in laws J and A Produce and CSA in Black-river Falls WI and pick your produce that you would like to preserve. Pickles,Jams jellies,Corn you name it we can Pit it Up Fresh at Gathering Gardens . Even trout!Book a time to come in the spring and work in the garden plating peas and tatters. Have you always wanted to process your own chicken you can schedule a session were you choose your chicken,process and enjoy your bounty. Gathering Gardens is a place to get inspired to grow .

Fisher Cat Creek Forest Retreat

Four years ago, David and Veronica began designing and building structures in the 20 acre hardwood forest that Davids' father acquired back in 1969. Now they live there full time in an off-grid cabin with monthly seminars, campsites for rent and a passion for sharing the wonders of the forest.

Cordwood Writer's Cabin

Stop by the quaint roadside organic produce stand, or take a dip in the Buffalo River.Two little cordwood masonry cabins, one for working and sleeping, the other for cooking and showering. The farm is a former Amish farm that's now a medicinal herb farm with grazing grass fed beef. It's also the Amish telephone booth.

Quarry in the Mississippi Bluff

This is a very private location. In its former life this property was a limestone quarry. Evidence of it's history remain with high rock walls on both ends of the property. In the center of the property is about 5 acres that is flat and covered with wildflowers and small trees. There are several good options for camping in this area. Surrounding this area is another 15 acres of hills and trees great for hiking and enjoying the beautiful view of the Mississippi River below. There is a boat ramp just a mile down the hill for boating or fishing on the Mississippi and the city of La Crosse, WI and La Crescent, MN are each only about a five minute drive. Great River Bluffs State Park and countless other recreational opportunities are just minutes away.
