We have a beautiful 20 acre lake. It's 60 ft deep with crystal clear water and is great for swimming and fishing. Kayaking welcome too. We also have a couple other ponds available for fishing as well. We raise fresh water prawn and bluegill in the summertime, so late september we have fresh shrimp available. Lots of waterfowl and deer here to see.

Tenderfoot Learning Lab

Enjoy a private hike through old growth and pine forests. We have close to 3 miles of private trails with diverse ecosystems to explore and discover. (Leave No Trace, please)  Our pond is also an attraction that can be swam in or fished. It is a 10 foot deep natural body of water that is managed carefully for optimum relaxation. (catch and release only, please) 
Tenderfoot Learning Lab is for students of all ages to learn how to live a sustainable life. Your stay here will help support our goal of teaching students to be critical thinkers who understand the effects of their choices in their communities.

We are located 22 miles from Hocking Hills State Park
We can accommodate trailer parking with a pull around driveway for all the Hocking Hills ATV trails nearby.  No riding on site.

Our little campground began as Bailey Wayne Bike Camp.  In 2023 we learned that Wayne National Forest wanted to drop "Wayne" from its name, so we decided to rename our campground and campsites in memory of Raleigh and Blue, two wonderful dogs who we wish were still with us.  

This area was once a booming coal mining town in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The hollow was made up of hundreds of company homes, several mines, and other company buildings.

As the mines died, the forest slowly took over.

 In the 1980s the National Forest began acquiring ownership.

Today, we are just a stone's throw from the new Baileys Trail System.

My wife and I have been biking for years; we've spent a lot of time camping and biking in OH, KY, WV, and NC.

We primarily ride gravel routes on our tandem mountain bike

around Athens and Washington Counties in Ohio.

Our property is 3 acres, which offers enough room to open up a couple primitive campsites so we can share the peacefulness of the forest.

Blue site has its own single car parking spot closer to camp

A short ride and you can be on the Baileys Trail System and mountain biking.  50 miles complete and 25-30 more in the works.

Tiny EcoCabin + Platform on 7 Acres

This tiny (about 150 sq feet) eco cabin is nestled in the hills and hollows of Meigs County Ohio on 6.6 secluded acres of mostly wooded land on a private, dead end gravel lane. A superb place to bird watch, identify native plants and trees, and stargaze as the cabin is located in one of the darkest places in Ohio.  Also on the property is a 16x20 camping/activities platform for your enjoyment.

Our doors opened in September 2020 with the intention of creating a simple, yet functional and secluded space for individuals, couples, and groups to come together and enjoy the serenity of nature's beauty. 

We are one of Ohio's only openly clothing optional and naturist friendly rentals. You of course do not have to be naked during your visit, but it is a safe place to explore the naturist lifestyle if you've ever been curious!

We're located about 25 minutes south of Athens, Ohio and are within 30 minutes of some of the best hiking in the state.

Guest parking is at the front gate of the property.  Be prepared to walk and carry all of your belongings up a steep hill that is about 50 yards long.

To access the queen bed in the loft, you will need to be able to assemble and hang up a ~40 wooden ladder to the loft.

There is no outdoor lighting, so if you plan to arrive after dark, bring a bright flashlight or head lamp as you will not be able to see anything.

The cabin is stocked with spices, teas, coffees, hot chocolate, and all you need to cook meals. There is a microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, and propane grill.

Please DO NOT flush toilet paper. Put in lined trash bin.
