Nestled in the rolling hills of wheat country, Goose Creek RV Park takes pride in its 5 acres of mature trees and landscape patio sites and cozy cabin rentals. Located on the east side in the town of Wilbur and walking distance to shopping and eateries. Swimming, golfing and pickle ball courts are all just minutes away. Other attractions for summertime fun are Lake Roosevelt and Grand Coulee Dam, hiking and kayaking ion and around other smaller lakes in the area! The property, aptly named the Oasis years ago, is 34-acres of lawns, shade trees, ponds, and natural landscaping over 50 years in the making. The landscaping was started by Tom who still lives in the farmhouse. The Schierman family has owned this property for four generations. The Oasis is located in the rolling hills of the Palouse in eastern Washington State. The newly created Yonder Hills Disc Golf Course is a private 18 and 9-basket course with long and short pads for almost every basket. A mix of open lawn, wooded fairways, water hazards, and elevation changes. Day, overnight or weekly reservations must be made to enjoy this private course. The disc golf course is under construction with some layout changes on the last three baskets. It's playable but it isn't perfect yet. We had to shift focus to the barn restoration grant to meet the June 2025 deadline. This is a perfect basecamp to relax and unwind or be creative. Read in the lawn. Cook over the fire. Explore the Palouse. Disc golf anytime. Guests may bring their own private fire pits. Firewood is provided for the community fire pit. Yonder Hills can be reserved for larger group camps and private camping events. There is plenty of room for several vehicles and tailgate camping. Please contact us to request a reservation for a reunion, wedding, private party, disc golf tournament, or concert. There are no dedicated electrical hookups, sewage hookups, or potable water available at this time. Bottled or bulk water is available in in St. John five miles away. Electrical outlets in the gravel parking area can be used to charge small devices. We are constantly upgrading the property, look forward to better amenities as we grow. St. John has a bar/restaurant, grocery store, hardware stores, gas station, 2 hotel rooms, library, coffee and gift shops as well as a very nice 9-hole traditional golf course. There are numerous small towns, lakes, rivers/creeks, backroads, viewpoints, and historic stops around the Palouse region as well as amazing photography year round. Come for the abundant stars, the fall colors and brisk air, to socialize with other travelers, or to find the peace of the Palouse country.

Hauntingly serene and remote location in the basalt columned scablands of Eastern Washington on the unrestored portion of a family ranch in the Crab Creek bottoms. Interesting historic barns and structures with cool vintage retired machinery. It’s a new HipCamp and will likely get some improvements, like signage and some tidying of the immediate grounds and perhaps more detail in the listing. There’s only one hookup spot, so if it’s taken, you’ll be dry camping. But the host was amenable to getting some distance from the other guest while I was there. The price is very reasonable. The region has so few camping opportunities, I’m grateful they opened up this gem. BNSF trains run by a couple times an hour 200 yards away, but no crossings for miles, so no whistles.

The RV sites were super quiet and private. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. Horses, cows, and roosters were an added bonus in our opinion. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but that’s exactly how we like it.

This is one of the rare places that is BETTER than the pictures! More like a nice hotel suite with a kitchen. Comfy extra wide bunks for my two teenagers and a private bedroom for us. So many thoughtful little touches—cool lamps, toiletries, and you don’t have to go outside for the immaculate bathroom. It’s in an RV/bunkhouse resort, so you walk or drive a bit to recreation. We were there to see the Grand Coulee—spectacular free night light show at the Dam and the turbine tour in the morning. (Free.) I include the picture of the view from the back bedroom because, while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s very much mine. I was there to show my kids the immense scale of inland industrial infrastructure. There were decoupling trains in the early morning and my 17 year old and I watched the engines—and the deer—and talked about what it took to build American civilization, from the silos to the trains to the dams. It turned philosophical. Absolutely loved it and will be back.

Incredibly relaxing, beautiful surroundings, and we had the place all to ourselves. We would definitely stay there again. Important to note there is no garbage service there nor RV dump location although the Petrol station a couple miles away has a dump for 10 bucks.
