My young family and I recently bought the hobby farm of our dreams and would like to share it! A natural stream pops right out of the hill and feeds our duck/trout pond. Goats chickens and our horse named Summer roam the property and are friendly, especially with treats in hand!Learn more about this land:Multiple areas to pitch a tent around our pond, pasture, hay field, down by the pond itself, or up with a view at the very top of the farm. We've got Chickens, Ducks, Angora and Nigora goats, an Arabian horse named Summer, and a minihorse names Pie... all roaming different parts of the property. Make yourself at home on the farm and enjoy the setting without the work!

Cedar River Retreat

The Cedar River Retreat is its own little oasis. Located past an old fisherman's community along the river, close to shopping and stores but tucked away from it all just enough to reconnect with nature. This plot was purchased in 2016 and we hope you have a great time creating memories like we have over the last few years. We currently have an off-grid cabin, RV site and a tent camping only site. The outdoors are for everyone! We are excited to host you soon! Happy adventuring!

The Happy Horse Farm

Property is a 5-acre gated horse farm surrounded by wooded military property on 3 sides.

Conveniently located 15-20 minutes from Tacoma and Olympia.

Just 5 mins to Starbucks/coffee and grocery stores but far enough away from the city so it feels more secluded.  

American Lake and Spanaway Lake (and their parks with playgrounds) for swimming and paddle boarding are both just 5 mins away! 

The owner lives on site, as well as several horses, chickens, and a dog.  

Large stone fire pit with chairs near house is available for camper use. 

Pending: Paddle board rental and bicycles for use on property or trails! 

Set-up your tent anywhere within the horse paddocks - there are no specific sites, although there is a small fire pit and rustic bench seating at far back corner of property.  

Tents can be outside of horse areas as well, if preferred. 

RV dry camping anywhere within or outside horse areas.

For RVs needing dedicated electrical/water hookup, there are specific sites closer to the house. 

***If you are travelling with more than one vehicle, please purchase an car extra parking spot.***

Only four 30amp RV spots are available and are most easily accessible for Rvs under 30'. Standard 110volt outlets can also be available for RV use. 

Woodbrook Hunt Club, the oldest fox hunting club west of the Mississippi, is a neighbor so lots of horseback riding goes on in the neighborhood. (Dragged scent only, no live foxes are harmed.)

Private horseback riding lessons or guided trail rides available by reservation only, subject to weather and owner availability.  

Use of military trails adjacent to property for hiking and bike riding subject to open land usage and permitting by military base.

One tent set-up option is in the back southeast corner of the far pasture.

The other tent set-up option is in the goat pasture, but the occupants here are much more curious. 

You can also camp in this pasture, occupied by a horse, two friendly goats and a dog.

Curious and friendly, but paid little attention to our tent in the back corner of the large pasture.

PNW Luxury Glamping

Bathe yourself in luxury and the PNW woods in this stunning Forest River Sierra with master bedroom with king bed overlooking the private fire pit within a stand of mature cedars and Douglas firs. Verdant views of sword ferns through every window with aerial lighting above picnic areas and hammocks. 

Partially secluded, nestled in the backwoods of old-growth forest. Close to I-5 and restaurants, but great to feel surrounded in nature. Hot showers, grill, and outdoor food prep area. Private fire pit and enjoy walk paths through the woods.

Over 6,500 Douglas firs with meandering walking trails, a back woods of towering grand firs, cedars and hemlocks, we spend our days creating intimate places for self-reflection and celebration with someone special. 

This luxury trailer sleeps 6-8 with a bedroom loft upstairs with two beds, and a pull out couch by the fireplace in the living room. There are two kid cabins nearby in the woods for a fun kid/teen adventure.

We are located 30 miles outside of Seattle just off of I-90 (some highway traffic can be heard) and minutes away to popular outdoor destinations like the Snoqualmie River, Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area, Iron Horse State Park, Twin Falls Natural Area, and Tiger Mountain State Forest. Popular trails are also a few minutes away, including Rattlesnake Ledge Trail, Mount Si Trail, Twin Falls Trail, Little Si Trail, and Mailbox Peak Trail.Learn more about this land:Escape the city and stargaze on a King size bed swing or pitch a tent in the yard for a view of Mt. Washington. The campsite is intended for small groups (2-5people) who are looking for a quiet getaway from the stress of the city.  We have a BBQ grill, fire pit and an outdoor movie set up for you to enjoy after a long day away exploring all that the area has to offer.  This site is perfect for folks who are looking for something easy, relaxing, and tranquil that is not too far off the beaten path.  To beat the heat during the summer, we keep a 20ft inflatable water slide with pool up and is available for hipcamper use for an additional charge. Note: Our pergola bedswing site is in close proximity to the house but our rhoadie bushes and screens around the bed give you some privacy.
We practice social distancing and clean and sanitize after all bookings.  We have also had our COVID-19 vaccinations.
