Weekend Trip to Heka Glamping

We stayed two nights at the Airstream Base next to the Skykomish River, and it was a fantastic glamping “off-grid” experience. The site is just a short walk from the river, pet-friendly (perfect for our dachshund), and the hosts were incredibly hospitable. They’ve thought of everything — from a propane grill to all the little comforts that make the stay easy and relaxing. The atmosphere was romantic and close to some beautiful sights. The drive in was stunning, and during our stay we explored the historic wooden Baring Bridge, hiked to Barclay Lake, swam in the Skykomish River, and made s’mores by the campfire. The only downside was some nighttime noise — road traffic, passing trains, and an odd car door closing sound every half hour — but a good pair of earplugs took care of that. Overall, we can’t wait to come back. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable stay!
