There was originally a camper parked here with a roof over it while the main house was built back in th 1970s. When the home was finished the camper was moved out and it was turned into the cabin. It originally had a wood stove but it was always to hot so we replaced it with an electric heater and at the same time remodeled the interior. It is very comfortable for two to three people as it only has the bunk beds, microwave, small closet and dining table with 4 chairs including a rocker and a cabinet with pots, pans and silverware for your convenience. Learn more about this land: Country cabin is on the treeline at the base of O'tool mt. across the street from Lk. Roosevelt. Includes bunk beds, frig, microwave, hot plate, coffee pot, toaster, dining table, small closet, firepit with firewood and horseshoe pits with shoes. One mile to boat launch. Ten miles to nearest loaf of bread. Close to logging roads. You will have aprox. one acre to yourself. Quiet and secluded. We are close by if ever there is anything you need. Recently we were very close to the Crown Creek fire and a hotshot crew came and "prept" our property and cut down a lot of the underbrush therefore changing the landscape around the cabin so the main picture has changed to the current one.

The lands include a number of geographic features including the Kettle River, upper reach of the Columbia River and the Selkirk mountain range, which is considered to be at the foothills of the Rockies. Residents (including several Native American tribes) and visitors enjoy camping, nearly 500 miles of hiking trails, mountain biking, lakes, rivers and some too legit to quit wildlife including grizzly bears, cougars, bald eagles and the last remaining herd of caribou in the US. That was almost starting to sound like an indie music festival lineup! Did we mention it’s an inspiring place? Another fantastic visit at the cabin! Bill is an amazing host who goes above and beyond to make sure the cabin is cozy and ready for us. He even went a step further to help us look for a lost item once we were home. His communication is the best!
