A Swell Oasis in the desert of the San Rafael Swell: Swell Retreat. A pine tree farm was active prior to us purchasing the land, so lots of beautiful trees. A couple ponds stocked with large mouth bass. Zipline, WIBIT, water slide, etc. A field of hay, and continued improvements to make it into a Swell Retreat!!! We are a great spot to stay and have onsite a zip line into Lake Elevate, water slide into the pond, adventure island, zipline, kayaking, paddle boarding, catch and release fishing, and close to all fun in the San Rafael Swell. 20 min or so from three reservoirs for additional fishing, swimming and motor boating, 30 minutes from the Little Grand Canyon for breathtaking views, hiking and mountain biking, petroglyphs and the San Rafael Swell river to float on, 60 minutes from Goblin Valley, within 60 minutes to multiple slot canyons: Little Wild Horse Canyon, Muddy Creek, The Chute (similar to Zion National Park), Baptist Draw, to name a few. Such a beautiful campsite! The tent was beautiful and warm on a chilly night. Loved meeting the horses, goats, and dogs. Carrie Ann was so responsive and welcoming. Wish I could’ve stayed longer and will definitely go back!

What a lovely place to stay! My sister and I brought our two very young kids and they LOVED all the animals and the open space to run around and play. Such beautiful views and easily accessible to hikes and so much more beauty! The kitchenette and bathrooms were well maintained and so appreciated. We were also grateful for the heater that kept us cozy during chilly nights. Highly recommend!

We had a great time! Lacy was very responsive and helpful at every step of the way. There were plenty of picnic tables, camp stoves, strong lights and a canopy on-site which made a group camping trip a delightful breeze. We enjoyed kayaking and playing in the pond and wish we had booked 2 nights instead of 1! We will definitely book again.

My stay at Wildland Garden, was absolutely perfect! The tents were spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. Waking up to stunning mountain views and crisp, fresh air made my stay unforgettable. Carrie Ann went above and beyond to make sure everything was spotless and well-stocked, from cozy bedding to little touches like lanterns and firewood. The location is peaceful and private but still close enough to explore nearby trails and scenic spots. I can’t recommend this place enough – the ideal getaway for anyone wanting a unique and luxurious outdoor experience!

The sites are all fully stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. The water activities are AMAZING! Our kids absolutely love it, our dogs love it, and so do we.

We stayed for one night on a long cross-country trip, so our stay was short, but very sweet! Carrie Ann was responsive and accommodating. The glamping tent was cute, spacious, and comfortable. The most amazing getaway! Perfect for families or couples. The hosts Ben & Lacy were the MOST AMAZING hosts. We rode the horses and had so many laughs. My daughter would say this is the BEST camping trip she has been on. My son, enjoyed all the rocks and dirt. The amenities are beyond amazing. We will be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Carrie’s campground. Carrie and her husband were very welcoming and informative. They gave us some great recommendations and we will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. The amenities and the facilities were superb. We are very simple people and needed minimal things at camp. We also came across other campers during our stay and enjoyed each other’s company. This is a very peaceful and community-based camp, if that doesn’t sound like you, please keep looking.

Absolutely luxurious glamping site in a quiet space only a few steps off of Route 70! The tent was huge, comfortable, and felt very private. The shared bathroom/kitchenette was genius and very clean. 3 nights at Swell Retreat in San Rafael Swell

This is my favorite campsite we've ever stayed at, it's great for kids and dogs! The campsites are very nice (comes with water, grills, covered tables) and we rented one of their trailers to stay in which was also great. The water activities onsite are amazing - the water is pretty warm so swimming is enjoyable, (I have thyroid issues AND I'm pregnant so I'm extremely sensitive to the cold and even I had no problem in the water) and there are a bunch of kayaks and stuff that were super fun too. The hosts are very nice and helpful. We were super delayed in getting here so we arrived close to 11pm and they were still here to greet us and show us to our campsite. They even helped us transfer our stuff to the campsite. Would definitely recommend this place!!

My husband and I had a wonderful and peaceful time at Wildland Gardens. The accommodations for glamping were exceptional. Clean and inviting wall tent space welcomes you to leave stress behind. . A fan, heater, and extra covers inside your space. You have access to your private grill. Carrie and Mike (husband) are down-to-earth, easy to connect with hostess and hosts. They go out of their way to ensure you have a good experience there. There’s so much more to say. But all in all, book to stay there! It is a nice getaway that leaves you gazing at the stars (and the Milky Way) and thanking God for stillness, nature,, good people, and peace..
