The property is far enough away to get away but close enough to the island (and pretty much every other town in the surrounding area) for a day's adventure. Whether your adventure is to immerse yourself in the local trails with the wildlife or to dig into some sand and water you're just a hop, skip and a jump away. After an adventurious day you can enjoy some piece and quiet in this little slice of heaven located in the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge.

Conveniently located with easy access to Highway 2, our site offers proximity to various attractions, including the birding center and Outlet Mall. Plus, we're just 45 minutes from SPI and 15 minutes from the Border crossing at Progress/Las Flores.

Our central location places us 30 minutes from McAllen and 30 minutes from Brownsville, making us an ideal base for exploring the area. Long-term visitors also have access to our clubhouse, adding an extra level of convenience and comfort to your stay.

CD&J Mini Ranch

CD&J Mini Ranch is a 35-acre farm and ranch in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. We became Certified Naturally Grown and started thinking about and implementing ways to treat our land better.  We raise and sell beef, pork, chickens, eggs, and seasonal vegetables.  We are on a lake that normally has a lot of fish, but due to the extreme drought we have experienced, the lake is sometimes dry, but we still have excellent bird watching. It is the first time that our lake has dried up and it is definitely due to our extra hot and dry years.  
We have a quiet place for you to rest and enjoy the sounds of our animals.  Our camping spots are not close together like a regular campground, but you will be able to see and possible hear your neighbors when outside.  We have picnic tables under shade trees and an available flushing toilet with sinks for those in smaller campers. No tents allowed at this time.

We really love what we do here at our mini ranch and hope you will too.
