Keep it simple at this cozy and centrally-located place.  Your home away from home. This little home is 560 sq ft and sits on 2.77 acres and has plenty of grass area to enjoy outdoor activities. Easy access to I-27 with a short 18 minute drive to the airport and Texas Tech.  Separate guesthouse gives you the privacy and comfort you need.  The main house is  in close proximity should a need arise. The Little Red Farmhouse is complete with a separate bedroom/bath, appliances, coffee, tea, wine, water, and snacks.

Heyday Lbk

We are Kat and Daniel, native to Lubbock and former Red Raiders. We love traveling, Lubbock, & Texas Tech! We are into unique experiences and that’s what we’ve tried to create with our schoolbus conversion and farmhouse. We think it’s cozy & peaceful and know you will too! You may spot a pheasant, roadrunner, or even a wild turkey and there are usually plenty of rabbits running around. We also have chickens! Please don’t feed them.You can take a nap in the hammock between two large trees, or just curl up in bed and enjoy the coziness of the bus or house.

Learn more about this land:Mariposa a land trust and non profit organization set for sustainable development.  Walk the main top areas and feel free to walk down the main road. For more information please reach out to the hosts. The community center has a full restroom with shower and kitchen. Our RV parking is right next to the community center and can accommodate the largest rigs. Our tent camping spaces are spread out for added privacy and we have a dumpster on site. When you camp at Mariposa you have privacy and great views to explore while being a short 5 minute drive outside the restaurant and hotel district of Amarillo. Come enjoy the beauty of the Texas panhandle at Mariposa!Currently there is significant construction on the main road to the property. The property is still accessible, however, we cannot guarantee access for vehicles over 35ft long. The entry is currently loose gravel and moderately steep. As construction continues over the coming months, we expect this to be fixed to allow unlimited access.If you have questions please email message or phone after booking.

Perfect home base for your Palo Duro Canyon State Park adventure and exploring everything else the Canyon/Amarillo, Texas area have to offer. There are 2 private shower rooms for your use and also a coinless laundry facility that can be booked online for your convenience. There is also a storm shelter onsite.

Your RV site is located in the country where you have unobstructed views of the spectacular sunrises and sunsets the Panhandle of Texas is known for. It's also a perfect place to stargaze since it's away from the City lights.

Also available to rent on the property is a cabin room, 5th wheel (stationary) and large guest home (through Airbnb on our website)
