This ranch is an absolute gem. Each horse has a story with so many being rescued and are now thriving! There are ample opportunities to interact with the animals and enjoy the surroundings including a beautiful night sky. Amber has an incredible place to escape and reset- I will definitely be adding this to my rotation!

And there's flushable toilet.
Convenient if you're climbing at Reimers Ranch.
I think it will be more beautiful in the Spring as they have a wildflower patch.

FIVE STARS!
This Hipcamp stay at the vineyard near Hamilton Pool Reserve was an unforgettable escape. Secluded but completely safe, it felt like staying on a friend’s private ranch, and the host? A total gem, like that fun uncle who hands you a glass of wine and instantly makes you feel at home. The campsite was nice with level ground with plenty of shade to tuck in our Van away for the hot TX sun. There are clean bathrooms next to the testing room backyard open 24-7. The vineyard was stunning, but the real highlight was the wine tasting with rich, complex wines served with stories and heart. We also took a dip at the near by crystal-clear waters at Reimers Ranch Park it was totally refreshing and made us feel like we had our own private swimming hole. Between the peaceful setting, the genuine hospitality, and the beautiful natural spots nearby, this place is the kind of stay you never forget. Already dreaming about our next trip back.

We had a great stay here. The animals were extremely friendly and being able to interact with them so closely was a huge bonus for us! The site was easy to get in to and the host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Great amount of land on a beautiful winery. Perfect for just a couple people or a whole family. We enjoyed it a lot! Having the bathrooms nearby was really nice as well.

Absolutely amazing campsite! Directions were perfect, land was excellent to camp on. Bathrooms were nice and it was so great to have a sink. The wine tasting was fantastic!

Had a really nice overnight camp. Bought the discounted wine flight through the Hipcamp checkout and it was a good value. The pizza was fresh and tasty as well. The winery’s owner was super accommodating and helpful with our stay. While my friend and I stayed in the Shady Oak Grove, there was a large group of families in the other camping area. It was spread out enough that their happy noises did not bother us at all. The bathrooms were clean and in good operating condition. It is a little walk through the grape vines to get to them, but also a 1 minute drive, if you’re not able to walk it.

This is an excellent car camping style experience. We threw in the truck… a hammock and stand, a folding table and a tent, coffee basics, pocket rocket and some firewood. Getting there with some time to relax at the Tasting Room before it closes at 6pm will absolutely elevate your experience. We were so impressed with many things, so here’s a list:

RV POINTS: no water, no electricity, no parking pads but moderately level grassy ground; +trash area, +decent tree cover available for up to about 12 ft high rig; nearest dump is quite a way out (Buddy’s RV resort doesn’t typically “do” drive-by dumping); road into property w several large potholes; Hamilton Pool road narrow w hairpin turns & may flood w heavy rains. Spotty cellular service on AT&T.
UNIQUE EXTRAS: very quiet w/out being disturbed (albeit in Feb—likely not the case during wedding season); limited “restaurant” w more robust wine tasting, live music Sunday afternoons that can be enjoyed from the campsite, large indoor & outdoor seating areas, pre-positioned fire pits at camp sites, some walking paths thru gardens & vineyards that are probably better appreciated in the spring/early summer

Very easy going and friendly place to camp. Plenty of open spaces and friendly staff. The wine is also great as well! Close to the city but feels like you are far away from everything. Will definitely return either for camping or for the wine!

We had a great time staying at Hamilton Pool Vineyard. We had the entire grove to ourself and were able to relax while also popping into the vineyard for a few glasses of wine. Good escape and very close to Reimers Ranch for any climbers or nature walkers out there.

Never felt such peace and quiet in my life. The grounds are gorgeous. Walked up for the wine tasting and had a marvelous time with the owner! He spent so much time explaining everything about each of the six wines I tried. He was funny and charming and efficient. I had one of their pizzas that was amazing!
If I am ever back in the area, I would stay again for sure.
