Amie's land was a good spot for a quick overnight stay. I had a little trouble finding it but it's literally at the corner of the cross streets she mentioned in her instructions. (Just look for the little welcome sign!) Know that you're parking amongst tall grass depending on the season and be mindful of any critters that may call such a beautifully untouched area home.

I really loved the openess of the camping spot at Blank Canvas Hip Camp. The owner Amiee met me on the road adjacent to her property just as a huge thunderstorm was rolling in and directed me to the camp entrance. Set up my trailer on my spot just in time to watch a terrific lightning show against a vast north Texas backdrop. A great memory of my trip thru the length of Texas and one of the reasons I enjoy using the Hipcamp app so much! I would highly recommend Amies Hipcamp if your traveling thru North Texas.

The land was so beautiful, private, and remote. It was also very easy to navigate and 2wd accessible. Beware the sac spiders! There are many of them because of the geographical location. They are nocturnal so just make sure your tent is set up before nightfall. Unbeatable stay!

Weekend Trip to FMF Blank Canvas Campground
We had an amazing time camping here! Amie gave us plenty of items to help us, including bug spray, a face mask, clean linens, games, and much more! The stars were amazing and the tent was cozy.

Yet another wonderful stay at Blank Canvas, lost count, fifth or sixth stay so far. Highlight was finally getting to meet Amie in person as she delivered the farm fresh eggs (from a neighbor) that we purchased along with our reservation. Just as lovely and kind as she has always been in all our communications over the years. Her site has always been a welcome break from the road, and is easily accessible in a Class-B (what we drive) or likely any model car or camper you have.

Overall we had a great time! The stars are gorgeous out there, and although the driving trail looked a little sketchy, it was surprisingly even ground and posed no problem for even our smallest car! Definitely would go again!

Lost track of how many times we have stayed in the last three years (I think at least our fifth), but far and away our favorite place. Easy and straight forward directions from the highway (about 10 minutes off the highway) and well worth it for the peace, quiet, isolation, wide-open vistas, and dark skies for viewing the stars. Always welcoming and responsive. Thanks again for hosting us Amy.

Pretty much exactly as advertised. Camping in an open field. Nice for the dogs (although my gremlin of a dog did role in cow shit). 😤😂 you can hear traffic from the highway, but it’s easy to find.

Third time camping on Amie’s land. Was as peaceful as always with a sky filled with stars. If you like peace and quiet and dark skies when the moon is just a sliver look no further. Amie was as gracious and responsive as always, particularly considering we had to cancel last two scheduled stays due to weather and unexpected RV breakdown, we were looking forward to our return. A little bit off the highway, but directions are straightforward and well worth the extra few minutes so find the solitude you will experience.
