Your furry friends are family here! We feature a built-in doggy door leading directly to the private, fully fenced back area.
Pet Guidelines: Up to 2 pets are welcome. If you leave your pet unattended, we kindly ask that they are safely secured or kenneled inside. Due to high summer heat, leaving pets unattended for long periods is strongly discouraged.
Embracing Authentic Desert Life
We want you to love the desert as much as we do, so here are a few fun "insider tips" for your stay:
Desert Flora (Goat Heads): Natural stickers and thorns are a staple of desert terrain! We highly recommend wearing sneakers or boots outdoors. Doggy booties are great for sensitive paws, though most pets handle it just fine.
Monsoon Season (June–Sept): Summer brings vibrant desert blooms, warmer temps, and quick afternoon rain. To keep curious desert flies outside where they belong, just give the front door a quick snap when coming and going!
Desert Critters: The dome is on a regular professional pest control plan! However, because we are nestled right in the high desert, an occasional curious bug might still pop in to say hello—it's just a natural part of desert living. Keeping doors closed helps keep them outside where they belong!
Security: For your peace of mind, Ring cameras are located on the exterior of the dome.

Such a cool place. The description doesn’t do it justice. Well stocked with everything you need. The owners live nearby in case you have any problems. Very fast to respond & happy to help. Beds were comfy. I didn’t bring my dog but wish I had. It’s set with a doggy door & a small fenced area for them.
We will definitely return.

The kids and I enjoyed the camper and thought it was the neatest thing to stay in. I give it 5 stars because unlike other campers/RV places this one has a playground that even my 9 year old could play on. Also, the hospitality was all there with plenty of water bottles stocked in the fridge, coffee and extra batteries for the remotes. The coloring pages for the kiddos was the sweetest touch. Gorgeous desert dome! Very friendly helpful hosts. The dome was so cozy and welcoming, we loved staying there. Quiet, beautiful decorations, lots of games, fully stocked kitchen for cooking, washer and dryer, comfortable beds! We enjoyed the goats and donkey too. Strongly recommend.

Loved this place! Bailey was amazing. We arrived late and they left the lights on for us which was very thoughtful. We got to see some of the goats walking around and we met the donkey! Will definitely come here again if im passing through. So peaceful, clean and space was bigger than expected.

The Thunderdome is an absolute gem! My wife and I felt right at home, the space was very spacious for us two and was very cozy and well decorated. Bailey is an extremely friendly host, we talked to her for about an hour when she let us feed her donkey and goats, she told us some history about the home and about it’s surroundings areas which was very interesting to hear. We definitely want to come back!

An incredibly cozy stay, perfectly maintained, with all the amenities! The amount of thoughtfulness and care shown to us during our stay was far beyond the call of duty, communication was extremely pleasant and fast. The view across the desert is stunning, waking up to it through the huge picture window from the wonderful bed starts your day off right! Grilling on the barbecue and the fire pit or using the gas range and microwave makes for delicious home cooked meals, but we were also left plenty of information for eating out or ordering takeout! The locals are very friendly but leave you in peace, for an all around relaxing and lovely getaway!

I do not have enough words to describe how wonderful our stay was at the dome house. Bailey and family are so accommodating, sweet and available via message while we stayed there.
The amenities, any and all needs we could have possibly asked for were above and beyond. My family of 5 (10yr/6yr/4yr olds myself and husband) easily and comfortably fit/slept/and had space in the dome! We easily drove to Franklin State Park, White Sands, and many other national and state parks from the centralized location at the dome. It truly makes everything you want to see easily accessible.
Bailey had a 4 day old baby goat with a leg injury she was nursing back to health. Allowing my littles to help feed was the highlight of their trip. They affectionately named him Oreo, lol. We were sad faces leaving this morning and already planning on returning.
Thank you again. We had an amazing time. I will be referring everyone I know to come book the dome house with you!

What a wonderful stay. The Desert Dome is incredible and a wonderful way to experience the area. It’s close to so many adventures and attractions in the area. It was a delightfully comfortable sleep - the king bed upstairs is so comfortable. It was really nice to have a stocked bathroom with supplies you might need. The animals only add to the charm of this desert oasis. Bailey was very kind to share them with us and also communicated frequently whenever questions arose. It was the perfect place to rest our bodies after our long road trip from the east coast. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. We hope to return soon!
