Only 14.6 miles from I-40 and located on 97 acres, this campground is surrounded by nature, very secluded and private. There is a crystal-clear creek that runs parallel with the driveway and fresh spring water flowing from pipe in the rock close to the entrance on American Way. The creek is bio-diverse, filled with fascinating species, and spring fed, which means it stays cool in the summertime. There are three beautiful homes which are able to be rented out as well as a fourth home that is for the property managers. The A-frame log cabin at the top of the hill is called the Lodge. The second home, which is a two-story brown log Cabin, offers individual bedrooms. The third home is the Cottage. This is a special place and we are happy and honored to share it with you! Peaceful Hills Retreat, a family owned business, started in May of 2017. It all began when Jennifer’s brilliant brother booked a two-story home through Airbnb for Jennifer and the family for a week in the Carolinas. Their Airbnb vacation was a great experience, and she loved having a kitchen to cook in, while traveling with her large family. She gladly said goodbye to tiny hotel rooms. Linda and her daughter, Jennifer realized they desired to run a BnB, and watched the scattered pieces beautifully fall into place. Peaceful Hills Retreat is also a wedding venue. There are three beautiful spots for a lovely outdoor wedding. The waterfall site is a favorite. The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors At each home you may read a special book called A Soldier’s Child Foundation (ASC). Several sites to camp on 17 acres of forested land. In Linden Tn., an hour and a half drive from Nashville. The property is on a mountain ridge and community of large acreage properties ranging from 5 to 70 acres +. You'll be a 11 minute drive from the small town of Linden for easy access to a grocery store, restaurants and the Commodore Inn and Cafe. Five minutes to the Buffalo River with several kayak, canoe and tubing rental outfitters available from town or close by. Currently 'off grid' At the entrance is a concrete parking pad where an RV can park and enjoy a lovely view of the Loblolly pine forest below. Further down the mountain a winding road can be walked or driven (best if off-road, but I drive a front wheel SUV when dry) leads to additional sites on a level field of a mixture of cleared or treed , but private sites. A level area, then further slopes around the property to streams on either sides and a waterfall in the back of the property. Access to the waterfall is down a fairly steep mountain slope so accessible only for the adventurous.

We had the best time at this campsite! Jennifer was super helpful with directions and providing firewood. The fire pit, chairs, picnic table, and string lights were all much appreciated and really added to the whole experience. Would highly recommend!

Moonlight Ridge is one of our largest campsites! It has picnic table and a fire pit and plenty of places to park and pitch a tent. The views from Moonlight Ridge are lovely. The elevation is over 700 feet. There are two hiking trails near this campsite. One trail is moderate while the other has a very steep hill and then levels off nicely. This campsite has great views overlooking the valley.

Jennifer’s land is perfect if you wanna get away from it all. There were plenty of campsites to choose from.

This is the view from Sunny Shire, which is campsite #2. It has a large fire pit and a picnic table for your use. It is in a very peaceful and quiet location. There is no cell signal here. If you need to use the Wi-Fi, you may park in the parking lot at the host’s cabin. Firewood is $10 a bundle and can be delivered to your campsite if we are notified in advance.

Beautifully taken care of and Jennifer is awesome at communicating and being proactive and clear. Perfect for our group of 12. Fit one 10-person tent and 3 4-person tents easily along with 3 hammocks. We drive 4 vehicles and had no issues parking them.

We loved our stay at Peaceful Hills! Jennifer was so kind and accommodating. I didn’t read the comments well and ended up picking a spot that was too hilly for tent camping! Luckily Jennifer kindly let us swap last minute for a perfect site for tent camping. It was lovely, quiet, and easy to find per the host’s instructions. Will be back!

The site was level and spacious; It’s perfect for newer campers because you can bring all the “luxuries” ☺️ . There’s still lots of foliage in early October, so the site is cozy. I stayed at Peaceful Hills Retreat Campground for my first solo camping trip, and it was perfect! The detailed directions were absolutely perfect for my directionally challenged self and I felt confident finding the location! Jennifer was such a kind and helpful host. I stayed at the Sunny Shire site — super peaceful, clean, and had a picnic table which made things easier. I was the only camper there, so I got to explore and really soak in the quiet. She brought me some firewood too, which made the evening extra cozy. Definitely planning to come back!

My dog Sparky and I had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s Peaceful Hills. I chose the waterfall site and was immersed in calm, refreshing sounds of water slowly winding its way through the hills and to the creek just across the road. Sparky loved prancing through the creek and he looked like he was having so much fun that I followed suit and took a dip. It’s was chilly but felt oh so good! We took several hikes and made sure to veer off the beaten path now and again just to see what might be hidden around the bend. It was a lovely, relaxing and quiet stay and I would highly encourage a visit.

Perfect getaway! Host was kind and responsive. We enjoyed the creek, the spacious level campground, the seclusion and the beautiful property. Site even had power! + the cleanest porta potty ever. Hanging lights added to a quiet evening around the campfire and the sounds of the waterfall was the perfectly peaceful nature sound to fall asleep to. 10/10, highly recommend!

This was the perfect little campsite for my dog and me. My dog is new to camping and isn’t a fan of people getting too close, so we needed a spot where we couldn’t see or hear people. Campsite #2 was perfect for this. It’s also surrounded by trees on 3 sides, giving it a more private feel. We booked one night and ended up adding a second night. Wished we could have stayed longer, but we’ll be back! Jennifer was also a wonderful host. She responded quickly to texts and was very friendly! If you’re more of a novice camper and going alone, like myself, Peaceful Hills Retreat is such a great place because it feels so safe. I love that she lives on site for those reasons as well. 10/10 recommend and we’ll be back real soon!

The Creekside campsite has a picnic table and a fire pit. It has a view of the creek. It’s on the edge of the property line, so please respect our neighbors by not crossing over into their property. You are welcome to explore the 97 acres and hike into the campground. The creek is cold and refreshing!

Drove 13h to get here. Amazing camp site. Nice and secluded with a small waterfall. Comes with some lights and a camp fire. The best part? The creek is a 30 second walk from camp and it’s amazing. Took our camping chairs and my dogs cot into the creek. Spend pretty much all day every day in the creek. The host is super friendly and we bought some firewood from her (which she delivered to the camp). You can also easily refill jugs of water down the street from a natural spring. If you want to relax for a few days and have an amazing time, I highly recommend this.
