If you love trees and old growth forest this is the place to camp. If you really love to camp roughly with a tent, a hammock, tarp shelter, or just under the stars this is the place to camp. All manner of four wheel drive vehicles are welcome to set up camp. There are no set designated sites established, you will be free to hike in and pack to a spot of your choosing or use your four wheel drive vehicle. Santa has a jeep as well as a 6 seater Polaris Ranger to help you to get you to a spot. We are near the Kentucky Lake/Tennessee River, so plenty of outdoor activities nearby. Santa has some trails on property for hiking, mountain biking, or even off road vehicles. Most trails for off road are for small four wheelers, utvs, and Jeep size. This was a perfect primitive camp for us! The area had plenty of privacy with a beautiful scenery. Early mornings, next to the woods gave a good spot to drink some coffee and watch the wildlife. Easily accessible, and not far from town if you needed to make a quick trip.
Communication with Laura was friendly, quick and easy.
Definitely saving this spot for our next trip in the area:)

Lane and Dan's property is a beautiful place for a respite from your routine. Lane and Dan are great hosts and will make you feel at home. They have provided a sparkling clean pool and unique bathhouse (that even has a washing machine) and full hookups at the two shaded gravel RV sites.
Away from cable TV and WiFi, nature takes the stage at The Getaway. From your campsite you can watch the fish jumping in the pond, deer strolling across the grounds and thousands of butterflies fluttering about. At night, the dark is broken only by the moon and billions of stars above.
The only downside was that the brutal heatwave during our stay limited our outdoor activity. We will visit again.

Stopped here for an over night. Newer pavilion with fire pit area and laundry building with new Maytag units included for guests. Quiet location. Entrance to site was on incline, but site C was relatively easy to level with slight adjustment. Host was friendly & communicated well. Allowed us our choice of open sites and informed us that app map recognizes neighbors property as site, but it's a little further up the road. Found it just fine with that info.

Wife and I needed a few days of complete downtime and we found that here at Lane and Dan’s little slice of heaven. The hosts were amazing from the start of the reservation till the minute we headed back to reality. The bathroom/showerhouse is an amazing addition to this beautiful property. The views are spectacular, the lake has some great fish, the pool was refreshing and we’ve already booked our next trip to Lane and Dan’s property. If you don’t book here you will never know what you are missing out on.

We loved our stay at Jennys land. Hooking up the camper was easy and there was an extra water hose just in case yours isnt long enough. It was quiet and peaceful with lots of things to explore in the area

I did not get to stay here due to being sick, but the hosts were very responsive and accommodating to my flex in plans. I wish I could’ve stayed to meet them. I will definitely keep them in mind next time I’m in town.
