Inner Wolf Retreat was a lovely and peaceful spot we booked for a brief overnight stay. Even though it rained, we were able to walk the grounds and listen to the stream on the property. It was lovely.
Our host was kind and welcomed us in person. She showed what we needed to know, and offered fresh, filtered water from a spigot for our drinking water, and the best hot shower on our trip!
We're traveling in our class b van.

Perfect spot for van camping with our 4-year old who loves animals and trains (maybe they all do?). Peaceful and quiet spot for the night. We enjoyed the fire pit with plenty of seating, and a bathroom (toilet and sink) right across the way. It was cold the night we were there, so my son also enjoyed the indoor toys / play area. First time I’ve ever woken up and seen buffalo walking around — it was great! If we’re back in the area, we’ll definitely camp here again.

We loved camping at this site! The site was level and had all the hookups in one spot. It was very peaceful and quiet even though there were others nearby. There are bathrooms and a showers if needed which was nice to have that option. This was our first time camping with an RV and we didn’t have any problems in our time here.

Nice camp spot far enough off of 19 east to be quiet and tranquil but convenient to both Eastern TN and Western NC. Well maintained spots and not to steep for most small to medium size rigs.

Our camping experience at the Mars Tent Campsite at Inner Wolf Retreat Space (via Hipcamp) was truly awesome.
Upon arrival, we found the directions to the parking area clearly marked and proceeded to park and unload our gear. We then met Dawn, our camp host, who warmly welcomed us and guided us to our campsite. She pointed out the camp’s facilities — including an extra-cool, filtered, and tested well-water spigot, a shower, and a portajon — and we quickly set up camp, eager to explore.
Louis was excited to check out all the new smells, while I was looking forward to soaking in the sights and sounds of the retreat. As we wandered through the meadow and campgrounds, we discovered many peaceful spots to pause and simply be present. Benches, picnic tables, chairs, and even a truck-topper hut were all thoughtfully placed to help center the mind and relax the senses.
True to its main attraction as a Sound Healing Retreat Center, we especially enjoyed the large creek that ran through the entire camp. It felt like a real-life meditation soundtrack. As Louis and I drifted off to sleep, the soothing sounds of the creek behind our tent lulled us into deep rest.
We woke up feeling renewed and refreshed — and would definitely recommend Inner Wolf Retreat to anyone seeking a peaceful, grounding escape.

I loved the privacy of the campground. It's defintely off the beaten path. James along with Sam and Melvin were great host and willing to help with getting us water and anything we needed. The campground is quiet and the facilities are very nice. I would come back for sure.

The drive up is steep. Use low feet going down. The house with trampoline parks vehicles on street which makes it challenging.

We had a very nice time camping at Safe Haven Farm. It was very quiet and rather cool while rest of NC and SC were very hot in late July. James was great and helpful. He provided crucial help with access to RV power on the site! All good!

Magic campground nestled in a private spot bordering Roan but close to main roads to get to hiking spots like Carver's Gap. Sites are spaced out so they feel private and have a nice gravel base. Bathhouse is well maintained and has showers which is a great perk. There is also a fire pit, pavilion and lake on the property.
The road up is steep but paved - we didn't find it a problem even arriving in the dark as it is a short distance and there is very little traffic on the road. One thing to note is that you may need an extension cord for the power for the lower sites. Luckily the friendly team running the place were able to loan us one. We have already booked to go back!

Nice wooded area with a pond , clean bathrooms, picnic tables under covered gigantic gazebo wot fridge , bbq grill and a Blackstone flat griddle.
Beware the road leading to the sites are very windy and narrow. Nearby Roan State park has amazing views of NC and Tenn mountains from the top.

I camped in my car at inner Wolf retreat. It was a very cold night, but the amenities of having a clean restroom, drinkable water etc made my stay very comfortable! I only stayed one night, while I was on a mini road trip but a longer stay would have been comfortable as well, there's an indoor kitchen area with everything one would need which was a really nice touch!
And I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the sound healing session! It was fantastic!
