If you are here for the beach, the closest beach and also our favorite is Cherry Grove Beach, only a 30 minute drive. There are a few kayak rental companies we can connect you to if you'd like and we know all the local spots for adventure, food and shopping. Pick a hammock and relax listening to the birds, we also have an outdoor kitchen to prepare food and community firepits to gather around. We want this to be a relaxing getaway, to connect with yourself, others and nature.

Fern Getaway was the perfect spot for us! We are beginner campers and it was really nice to have amenities available to make the experience a little more comfortable. The shower, compost toilet, and grilling station were a gamechanger.
Definitely would recommend staying here! Bring food to cook and s'mores for campfire. The shower is cool / lukewarm but it felt great after spending the day in the sun! It's only a 30-35 min drive to Cherry Grove Beach

Weekend Trip to Laurel Oaks Estate
We stayed at little bear and had a fantastic time! The bed was very comfortable and the tent had everything you could need to cook, eat, and even had an AC unit! Very helpful in the July heat. We paddled around on the pond and enjoyed making s'mores on the campfire. Krystl met with us and allowed us to pet and feed the horses which were beautiful. Overall an amazing glamping experience. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed at Laurel Oaks in our motor home and had a beautiful site (Site1). They have 2 sites with plenty of space in between with concrete pads, fire pit and chairs. The property is beautifully maintained and the host was wonderful. If you’re looking for crazy crowds and like to be jammed next to your neighbors, this is not for you. If you want to be close enough to the beach without all of the hassle, I would recommend Laurel Oaks. We will definitely be back. P.S. …. You can also order farm fresh eggs 😊

Very nice people who were generous enough to let us stay in the space. The outhouse and outdoor shower were awesome. You can really see how much work was put into creating this little piece of paradise in the woods. Close enough to the beach and other activities. It felt very private. What a wonderful secluded spot to camp. We throughly enjoyed our time there for the 4th of July. It was very beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle beach but close enough to go enjoy the day. They were very accommodating and let the kids pet the horses and chickens. We got to ride our bikes around the trails and pond that they have with kayaksto use if we wanted to. I would recommend and will be back.

I loved RV camping at Laurel Oaks! We were meeting friends for the first time and it was the perfect spot. Secluded, calm, peaceful, with the added security of a gate that only we knew the code to. This location was close to everything that Myrtle Beach had to offer but far enough away to relax! We will definitely be staying here again!!!

I fell in love with this property. My family and I had a good quality time there. The hosts were very friendly, and their communication was very positive. When you enter the property, you can feel they care about their business, also, the campsite is in excellent condition. I even bought farm eggs from them! This was one of the best campsites I've stayed at, and it was a blessing to my family, especially my young kid.
