Weekend Trip to Inlaw Apt @River near Casino, Kayak
Loved staying here! The view is amazing, and the outdoor patio area has a sofa and outdoor fire pit, which was so cozy on a cool fall night. We used the canoe on the river - loved that Gina has kayaks and a canoe for guests to use (and life vests). Inside the apartment was so clean and the bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. Gina left us a basket of snacks and fruit, coffee and a vase of beautiful fresh flowers welcomed us when we arrived. Gina was great to communicate with and answered all my questions. She lives upstairs, but we felt like we had the place the ourselves. I would highly recommend staying here. Also check out Arrowhead Acres bakery, winery and farm - just 12 minutes from the property. Delicious food and wine. Had dinner at a Peruvian restaurant in Norwich called Canggio Restaurant. Such great food!!

Weekend Trip to Basecamp Bluffs
The patterns in a yurt are relaxing to start with, and the elegant furnishings only add to the revere. Stove-top and microwave so be sure to arrive with food as the nearest store is some distance away. The Italian coffee maker is amazing. Every shower in America should install fresh air and sunshine!

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm
This place was so much fun! It was a beautiful, serene, country location. Don't let the farm vibe scare you - it wasn't smelly, "dirty," or muddy at all; just peaceful. The sound of crickets lulled us to sleep and the cool air made for a deep, restful night. With the door and windows closed, there wasn't much ambient (animal) noise and the rooster didn't wake me up like I expected. The "bed" was more comfortable than I expected. (I'm a wicked light sleeper and expected a rough night... It was anything but!) The RV was quaint and vintage, and so cozy and inviting. The bathroom is small but was just enough for us (shower and all.) Not having to sleep on the ground and being able to have my own restroom was precisely why we chose this site but it was leaps and bounds better than I expected. We'd return in a heartbeat. Nice, central location in CT, and if we were there longer, I would've loved to have used the kitchen and enjoyed the farm more. The coffee maker was a godsend first thing in the morning while we packed up. I feel like this would be an excellent place for an artist or a writer to escape and find inspiration. Lastly, the camper was away from the rest of the structures so we felt like the farm was ours. 1 night was not enough.

We loved staying at Molly and Diego’s farm and hanging out with Shadow, the cutest farm kitty. We got a tour around the farm and got to hold some baby goats :) Their land is so peaceful and we would love to go back!

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm
We loved every moment of our stay/experience, but our favorite part was definitely doing an evening tour of the farm. Molly and Diego were fantastic hosts and so generous with their time despite their busy schedules. The animals are so comfortable around people, a true testament to the great care they are receiving. The farm store was also lovely!
I would highly recommend this to anyone who has the chance to go. I’ve already booked a second visit!

1 night at Two Herons Farm
Beautiful fully working farm with great people running it. Was fortunate enough to spend some time with the owners, get a tour of the barn, and helped feed the baby goats! Fantastic burger joint right down the road. Check in was a breeze and the weather was so nice one of us ended up camping outside. Great place and wonderful people. Will definitely return if ever in the area again.

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm
We had a lovely time at Molly and Diego's farm! The camper was very cute and cosy and provided all of the amenities we needed. Molly and Diego were very kind and friendly and checked on us after we arrived. The surrounding property was idyllic with the farms animals, bunnies and cats roaming around and coming to investigate us. The camper area felt private and the string lights were a nice touch while we enjoyed some drinks by the fire and listened to the animals settling in for the night. It was a perfect launch point to the Airline State Park Trail nearby, we would absolutely come and stay again!
