A lot of wildlife to see including deer, bear, fox, coyote, several bird species and bald eagles. We're close to State Gamelands for hunting. You're welcome to eat any fruit that has ripened here during your stay. The miles of ATV trails are also fun to hike, or ride your horse on. There is a bar/restaurant close by in Adrian. It's 10 miles to downtown Kittanning, where festivals and concerts in the park are held, plus more restaurants, stores, and rails to trails for bike riders. There are fishing ponds and large glacial rock formations nearby. Tours to the places mentioned can be scheduled for a fee if we're available. We will have a small map of the area with places marked. You're welcome to cut and use fallen trees. Please don't bring firewood from other counties due to spread of diseases and destructive insects. It's very peaceful here and enjoy hearing the animals. The adorable goats introducedthemselvis as I was packing up in the morning. -so cute. I love Goats! (Rooster crowed just before my actual alarm clock-LOL). I value privacy and safety and slept well. I slept in my SUV. I have an airmattress and sleeping pad that keeps me comfortable. I plan to be back next time I need to travel to PGH.

Had a wonderful stay! Really loved having the kitchen and a hot shower! The decor of the cabin was perfect and everything was so well thought out. Very close to things if needed, but felt miles away from life.
Be cautious on the gravel, as it is very slippery.

Weekend Trip to Mountain View Camping
Just got home and looking forward to the next time we can go! Quiet with only nature sounds and an occasional car. The rv was bigger than I thought. Plenty of room and well laid out. Close to lots of things to do in the area where we enjoyed Amish country, fishing at Mahoney Dam and hiking multiple places plus a good book sitting outside at "home". Evening campfires with Richard's perfectly dry firewood and glorious stars made our time the perfect getaway.
Richard is a five star plus host. He checks in to make sure everything is OK and was quick to respond to messages.

Great Hosts, Great Communication!
Stayed for 2 nights and the property is very clean and well kept. Plenty of fish in pond, Large Mouth Bass, Striped Perch, and Blue Gills.
No cell service so you can unwind. Had a peddle boat for use, be we didn’t try it. Heard Coyotes in the evening. It was a wonderful weekend. Highly Recommend.

I really enjoyed getting to camp out in a place surrounded by the sight and sound of goats, chickens and horses. I loved the fact that although it's surrounded by forest, the hillside is fairly open and floods with bright morning sunlight. I even got a tour of the farm to pet the animals!

We loved glamping at Paula's cabin! It felt secluded and private, elevated on a hill and hugged by the trees. All our creature comforts were met, as well as our desire to feel wild and connected to nature. The outdoor kitchen was the best! We made a delicious meal and enjoyed bird song at sunset. The compost toilet was clean and well maintained. We were particularly impressed with the murphy bed and lighting details. So much love and care went into this cabin, and it was felt. Thank you!

We had a great time! It was peaceful and relaxed. The critters were fun. We had visits from dogs, goats and a chicken regularly. Everyone that came was very respectful of our privacy but still super friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
Just remember, you need to be fully self contained. Plus this us a working barn with goats and chickens, you will smell it some. And, like any barn area, expect bugs, including a biting black fly that didn't seem too phased by OFF. Not Mendi's fault, it just is.

The host was informative but he'll respond to you little late because there's no Internet reception in the area including the campsite.
