Weekend Trip to Raising Roots Farm

The spot was beautiful, & I loved the animals. The view from the meadow was exceptional, & we could see three states from where we were. It rained, so there was a small challenge getting up to the spot, but we backed in. It was fine from there. Chelsea is so friendly & accommodating. She’s doing good things for kids on her farm!

Mendi's property was amazing, very peaceful. Everyone was very friendly and always asking if there was anything we needed. Very accommodating to my schedule. We definitely be staying again in the future

1 night at Serenity Acres Tent Camping

Tim and Lana are warm and caring hosts! Their instructions were easy to follow and the site is a great escape from Pittsburgh. It's quiet and the tent site is in an open field that's perfect for star gazing. Tim and Lana went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, whether it was bringing us firewood and a fire pit or letting us explore their ponds, woods, and livestock. We'll definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Claycomb Chalets

These cabins are amazing! We were there for a ski weekend with teenage kids who loved the lofts. We loved the fireplace (with plenty of wood), the cozy couch area, and the kitchen. The cabin is VERY well equipped, immaculately clean, and cozy. Seven Springs is 11 minutes away. The owner was there when we arrived and couldn’t have been nicer. Highly recommend to everyone except those with small children- the lofts could prove too tempting! I would definitely go here again.

Great spot on top of the hill. Quiet relaxing and peaceful. Will definitely utilize this site again in the future.

Myra was welcoming and the cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. There were several state parks local to the area that were convenient to get to.

Runnin Crazy Farm

Growing up and building on the back of our Family Farm is the best goal I ever set for myself! My Off-Grid 20 acres has raised my 2 kids and all the animals we could rescue! We run a Horse Boarding Facility along with Freezer Meat of all sorts. It's a small Hobby Farm but we love it all the same! Family environment that's down to earth! Learn more about this land: Sites 1 and 2 are for campers/tents. Sites 3 and 4 are tent only spots. No shade. Top tent spots up in field (3 and 4) need a higher vehicle to get to them. A bit Off Road. 3 has privacy with Antique Trailer but 4 is wide open. Fire ring at all of them/with wood. Horse stalls/guided trails available for the campers bringing their own horses. If advanced notice, an hour Lesson or Ride can be scheduled. Our animals are friendly and love attention. Dogs welcome but need a leash. Our Family run Farm is willing to accommodate your needs. Book a stay with us as you pass on thru. (Totally Off Grid livin my dream. Remember to burn burnables and take non burnables with you. Generators welcome) Thanx!

We are adjacent to the Kennerdell Tract Of Clear Creek State Forest which has miles of hiking and biking trails as well as the Allegheny River which provides fishing, boating, kayak/ canoeing opportunities. There is also The Allegheny River Trail which provides miles of paved bike trails. What we offer: We are not a campground and do not offer multi-night stays We are vandwellers when we are traveling. As such we understand the problems associated with finding a spot to overnight. We offer just that, a safe, quiet stop over for the night. That being said, if you need an extra day feel free to ask, we often say yes. We enjoy our quiet country life and request limited use of generators, Thank You
