Learn more about this land:Campsites are gravel parking with park-like lawn, well kept, and surrounded by a small picnicking area with extra parking, porta potty, garbage receptical, BBQs, tables and chairs on sprawling grassy lawns shaded with 100 year old large trees. The camping sites are back in only, so if you have trouble backing in, I am happy to help. Each spot has a fire pit with first firewood supplied, (additional be purchased) and a picnic table. Surrounding area is sagebrush, 2 miles from Wallowa National Forest with miles and miles of wilderness trails, lakes and Mountain fishing, ATVs, hiking, biking. You can ride your ATVs right from the camp. There is huckleberry and mushroom picking in early summer and late spring. Local wildlife consists of deer, elk, eagles and owls, pheasants, quail, wild turkeys, all kinds of birds, (even an occasional farm chicken may wander by) and coyotes and frogs calling at night. My friendly labs like to come say hi. Campsites are for tents or RVs. Our electric is shared among the campsites. Our water is from a wonderful deep cold well that’s piped to a shared outlet in the middle of the RV camp. Bring a hose to hook up, we have one if you need one. Guest Wi-Fi if you’re close to the store. Cell service is limited. I do allow generators if you are not sharing the park with anyone else. If you’re the only ones, no quiet time, if others are camping, quiet time is from 10:00 pm - 7:00 am. Site 1: largest fire pit, close to the power hook up, the most shady spot but still sunny, closest to the park. Site 2: A bit of shade, most of the day in sun. Closest to water hook up. Site 3: A Sunny site, a little late afternoon shade. A little more privacy as it’s the last spot. Farthest stretch for water and power, but I provide an extension power cord to it. Our little store has items you may need if you run out or forget something. We also sell regular gas.

Learn more about this land: We have 125 acre farm ranch that is waterfront on brownlee reservoir. We have 5 different camping vacations options. 1 cabin to rent. 1 camp trailer on a nice waterfront lot as well as 3 camp sports 1 with water and power hook ups (site. 2 water wheel) and 2 dry camp spots. we have a spot to launch boats which is right between sight 3 and 4. Good fishing. Very little boat traffic. Very private. In the fall big horn sheep frequently rut on the property. We usually have fresh eggs on hand. Dry climate. Sage brush and juniper trees here. We have an easy to access spot to fill up water to your camp trailers or rvs. The water is from a spring and Water tastes really good. We just added a 24ft pontoon boat for rent. This area has a lot of history. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe often stayed in this area and on the property. In fact this was where his tribe met to discuss and decide to try to go to escape to Canada. This is where that journey started. You can still find arrow heads on the shoreline every so often. I’m ruffly 15 miles north of Huntington oregon. 13 miles of which is dirt road. The property sits at the base of lookout mountain. Really good cell service here with Verizon Full bars. If you decide to come camp make sure your directions take you through Huntington. Google sometimes likes to try to get people to drive over the mountain. Or if your coming from the north it sometimes wants you to go through Richland and then on 34 miles of dirt road. Going Through Huntington onto snake river rd is the easy way to go.

The campsite is perched up near the large pond about 1000 feet off the main road (which you may see 5 cars a day on or the occasional horseback rider). And not to worry, there is a decent driveway that will bring you within 100 feet of the campsite, a pickup or 4 wheel drive is not required. ! The pond is an oasis for passing ducks and geese and other wildlife. Once you've established yourself enjoy a nice walk around the pond, cast a line off the pedal boat (catch and release), or enjoy a picnic on the island with the ducks and geese. Peace and quiet is all to be had here (other than the occasional bull frog croaking.) But if adventure is what you seek, adventure you will have! Known as the gateway to Hells Canyon, there are many things to do within 5 minutes to 1 hours drive. Drop into Midvale to hit the Weiser River Trail via hiking, horseback, or mountain bike (electric bikes too). Embark on an off road adventure with your UTV/ATV, or motorcycle up the nearby mountains to Sturgill Peak Lookout where you can see 100 miles in every direction. Schedule and excursion in Hells Canyon (deeper than the grand canyon) or take a dip at the local Mundo hot spring. Fishing and floating can be had at the near by Weiser river or boating at Crane Creek Reservoir. Or maybe you're looking for a base camp for hunting season. Again, the recreational possibilities are endless! Bring your supplies and stay at camp or take a short bike ride/drive into town for some food at the Coffee Cabin or a drink at the local tavern. Maybe you forgot something? the Midvale Market has you covered, and they have adult beverages too, open 7 days a week. Midvale also has a nice little park and a local swimming pool. Site guidelines Respect the locals and they will return the favor. We have a great small town community that looks out for one another. You can ride recreational vehicles on most of the local roads if you choose to bring them, just be respectful of the local laws and courteous to the neighbors who live on dirt roads by keeping the dust down when you pass by. No riding off trails/roads, especially on our property! Please bring life jackets or appropriate floatation devices for children who plan to play or swim in the pond. Explore the property and feel free to pick up wood and branches from the ground for the fire pit, but please do not remove or cut down any trees, and keep fires contained in the fire pit and do not burn when it's windy. Bedding is NOT provided at this time. There is a sheet Please bring sleeping bags or desired bedding for the covered queen bed. We also just built a brand new outhouse! We are slowly adding more amenities and plan to build an outdoor shower next. Weekend Trip to Waterfront cabin and camping

Location is beautiful--about 40 minutes on a gravel road outside of Huntington on the Snake River. The camper itself is pretty rustic and bare bones. Be sure to bring your own towels, blankets, and pillows. The kitchen has just enough supplies to make a very simple meal and the appliances worked fine. Thanks to Danny and the dogs for hosting us 😀

The space was super clean and well maintained. It was nice location to hang out in the evening. I think we came a little late in the season for the pond, as it was quite low, but my son still had a bit of fun on the paddle boat. We did head down to Mann Reservoir (15min away), so we could bust out our paddle boards for a bit.

This site is great for boon-docking on solar power, while enjoying great views of the Wallowa Mountains and surrounding farm/ranch land in relative privacy. Graveled Tucker Down Road runs on the west side of the sites, separated by a small creek, deciduous trees, and wild shrubs & flowers. The road gets a fair amount of ranch and farm traffic, but the trees do knock down most of the dust. While the site is flat, be ready for ann uneven surface with lots of tall grass, clover, & thistles. We were happy to be able to light our Howl propane fire pit for an evening under the stars. The site location is convenient with a short 5 minute drive to Joseph and just a 15 minute drive to Wallowa Lake & the Tramway. I can understand comments about the $75 per night being steep since there are no hookups but for us it was worth it.

This was my second time here and it’s just as clean, quiet, and beautiful as last time. My dog loves the smells and freedom to roam. The place has so many little extras like the solar lights for paths at night that make it even more special. I came to try to learn some night sky photography and it didn’t diss along with stars! I will definitely be back.

The host responded in a timely manner. The property was easy to get too. The property was beautiful. Enjoyed learning about the history if the town. I was able to enjoy a delicious snack from the local store on the property. I felt safe and slept well. I would definitely revisit and recommend this location!!!

Chris has created a peaceful space. We had to cut our trip short, but will definitely be back to enjoy the quiet, peaceful, wildlife filled oasis that Chris has created. You have the basic amenities you would need or want for a comfortable stay, plus some extras that Chris has so thoughtfully provided, should you need them. We really liked the fact that the closest neighbor is far enough away that we didn’t have to worry about our pup being off leash. Due to us having to cut our trip short, Chris was more than willing to work with us for a future stay, which was not expected in anyway, but GREATLY appreciated. If you are looking for a small town, quiet, peaceful oasis, this is THE spot.

What a wonderful place Grady Sr. and Kathleen have created on their beautiful farm. The Glamping tent was perfect for exploring the Joseph area. The nights were quiet and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The outdoor shower was the perfect way to relax after a day on the trails. Very private and sitting on the front deck watching the sunsets over the mountains will be memorable. We will surely be back when in Joseph. Thanx Grady Sr and Kathleen. So great meeting you both. Weekend Trip to Pondosa, Oregon. Old mill town.

We showed up with our small sports Mobile pop-up, my daughter’s SUV, and a tent. Lori and Jim were incredible hosts. We arrived pretty late, but they had us set up with kindling and plenty of firewood, we had a small fire and went to bed. There were coyotes howling in the distance, we woke up to over a dozen deer meandering around, ducks in a pond. Sort of like being in a Bambi movie. Their little store is super cute and they were warm and inviting. I was super stoked on the rural vibe and the abundance of wildlife, you will never get that at an RV park! There was electricity and potable water readily available at our site, for one. The fire pit was awesome and there is a girl on top so we could cook hotdog on it. They are super nice people and if I had to do it over again, I would spend two nights there. It’s a nice halfway point between Jackson hole and Hood River, you gotta get off the freeway a little bit, but don’t we all want to get off the freeway a little bit? There are not any showers in the restroom. Facilities consist of a porta potty like you find on a construction site, but it was really clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Our house said it sometimes gets windy up there so that is something to be aware of if you are in a tent. However, we were taking a couple of new campers with us, and the wildlife alone was worth coming back again, pretty incredible to see, deer, ducks and horses for city folk. Great experience!

This was absolutely breathtaking!! The long dirt road was an exciting adventure and the hosts met us when we arrived. Such a cute rustic cabin overlooking the river where you can walk and check out the area. They introduced us to the farm animals, which was such a delight. Purchased fresh ingredients from them for our breakfast and it was delicious! Lovely family and we definitely recommend! Thank you again for everything, until next time!
